Just finished up when the dogfighters were heading out. I was surprised with how dry the course was after the rain Thursday.

Had a work trip this weekend in Nashville

Played Hermitage, the presidential 18. Really cool track lots of elevation changes.
Played the State Park on Friday morning...also fun with lots of doglegs, pretty tight.

Played Marksville yesterday morning. Course was in great shape. Pin placements sucked esp on the Par 5 with the bowl shaped green. #gotmea4putt!

I didn't play...I refuse to pay over $100 to play a course with shitty greens. One of the holes had a temporary green on the fairway.

I played the course the day before for $30...wasn't worth that.

I played Wildcat instead.

Well i hit balls yesterday, 1st time in a month undergoing a new round of physical therapy, on my shoulder.haven't payed since last year, the pain in my shoulder is reduced significantly

I hit some 3 woods. probly 8 and can say I am encouraged by the reduction of pain on my follow thru. Now just a question where to play with everything being in shitty condition

I’ll never play there again. It’s a joke on the weekends as far as pace of play

Basically, he said the CC had been neglected for years by the owners mostly due to lack of money. He said right now, now that the Parks & Rec of Denham Springs bought the course, their main goal is to get grass growing again on all greens, so they're shaggy as hell in spots right now, and bare and sandy in other spots, and weed clumps in between. He said they've been purposefully letting them grow and apologized for the poor putting conditions.

Damn! I plan on playing there Friday. You think they'll cut 'em by then?

How are the fairways?

Agreed. It’s not a bad track. It’s just poorly run. Meadowbrook Farms is another fun course, but the greens are just painted dirt.

Golf around where I live (Katy) isn’t very good. Hence why I joined Black Hawk CC.
