2020 Ryder Cup tickets

I just received an email stating that I have "been selected in the 2020 Ryder Cup ticket random selection process." I sure don't remember signing up for any ticket lottery, besides the Masters. What is the deal with this? It is a legit email from the PGA. Is it more of an advertisement deal or did I really get lucky here?

I received the same one. I signed up a while back to find out about ticket info. I’ve never tried before. Not sure how difficult tickets are for the event.

I signed up this summer twice. I wasn’t sure how hard it would be to get tickets. Both emails received the same email

So the email is legit but appears to have gone out to everyone.
Maybe I did put my info in. I had looked into it at one point and considered making the trip. Curious what the ticket exchange value will be.

I too signed up in the spring and received the email today. Initially I thought I was pretty lucky but looks like a lot of people get this email. From reading into it you enter a ticket waiting room on the 16th and you randomly get assigned a ticket order; so I don’t even think you are guaranteed tickets or at least not the days and amounts you want.

Dang I got it too. Thought it was an email to be psyched about receiving

I was pumped for this but single day tickets are $185 and the cheapest air Bnb in the area is $999 per night and literally all of the hotels are booked. My fault for waiting to book but wasn’t sure how the ticket process worked. Oh well. 2024 in bethpage will be epic.

From the looks of this reddit post every person that signed up got the email. There are a couple of people claiming they know someone that got rejected but nobody in the thread did.

Got my email.
For those on the fence about going. You should absolutely go. I went in 2016 and it was the most electric and fun sporting event I’ve ever been to. Was absolutely fantastic and the crowds are awesome and engaged. I will hopefully never miss a Ryder Cup stateside again as it is now my favorite event every two years.

Milwaukee is only an hour away, its not like lodging is THAT big of a deal.

Got mine a couple minutes after 10. I guess I signed up really early and got lucky. 2 for Saturday and 2 for Sunday! Can’t wait
