On the betting side of things, I had a nice little 80/1 hit on Webb Simpson at ThePlayers
Once again I'll be playing with house money this week, as the tour heads back to Texas for the Byron Nelson. This will be a very interesting tournament with their move to the hybrid links-style of Trinity Forest. There is literally zero course history here, so this will be a bit of a crapshoot.

I'm really interested to see how the course plays, and what the pros have to say about the layout/conditioning. Supposed to play firm and fast, but golf course architecture nerd The Fried Egg said on Twitter that they were putting a bunch of water on it to slow it down.

Love Trinity Forrest. Suits ever type of player. Fairways are rolling out good amount considering zyosia.. Greens somewhat receptive.. putting around green is near impossible as they have let greenside grass grow more than usual. Better bring short game and precision iron game.

I found my Jordan action by way of a FRL bet. I'm hoping he at least shows up hungry. Some of these other guys have solid 1st round scoring averages. The rest are pure dart throws.

I went to the Byron Nelson in ‘01 or 02’ can’t rememer the exact year. All the big names were there. Unbelievable experience for my first event to see. Only negative is you had to drink your damn beer in the designated alcohol tent pavilion.

Not sure when they did away with that, but its definitely not a rule anymore. Pretty alcohol friendly tournament, they sell beer buckets

Round will probably take around 5 hours or so. You'll get to see the two featured pairings in the afternoon finish on 18 right before coverage ends.
