Your point is that the only thing different between this game and previous installments is that the game gave the middle finger to much of its player base. I'm saying two things, both obviously opinion: (1) if the BR comes out, people are playing this game (at least at launch, definitely longer if it's good), and (2) gamers, as a whole, don't care about this "issue" nearly as much as you think they do.

Most people who purchase these games aren't aware of this. The only way I know about it is because of people on this board. It could not have factored less in my decision to buy or not buy this game.

I said this would be the first Battlefield game I wouldn't buy, and I've stuck to it. The pathetic sales numbers further solidifies my belief that DICE will release 4 more maps over the next year and move on to the next game.
It's just infuriating that they had a golden opportunity to knock WWII out of the park, and absolutely shite the bed on it.

I can't imagine what kind of person actually falls for this. EA and DICE didn't make their decisions in an attempt to be altruistic or break down gender barriers.

There’s a difference between being inclusive and virtue signaling. Plenty of female and minority protagonists in leads that other developers didn’t need to bump their chests about. They should act like it’s a normal decision and not some groundbreaking history changing event (although) to make themselves feel better with their new progressive street cred.
