The old metal gears are the only thing I want to carry over. Depending on pricing I would be ok with that, but I would have preferred backwards compatibility. Thanks to everyone for the info

If I already have a PS3 that works fine?

Here it is. Sony tries to milk every dollar out of older systems, and not fully supporting the next gens. Microsoft will put all their resources into their newest product. That's important when I'm dropping $500 on a system. I'm fine with the extra cost when you get great costumer support. When my orginal xbox crashed, microsoft corrected the problem with no cost to me. Also, xbox live is top notch. PSN has a long way to go before it's even comparable.

Wasn't that because of the extreme high rate of X360 crashes? Did PS3 have that severe of a crash problem and at such a high rate?

Lol you think MS is going to abandon the 360?

Sony will also fix your system, if it's under warranty which every system will be. I would also rather have a system that doesn't break to begin with.

XBL is better than PSN now, who knows how the two will compare in 5 months at launch.

Just my 2 cents. I didn't say you have to agree.

i'm in the same boat. I'm not leaning towards Xbox one simply because i've only owned the PSses(sp) and i'm to old to go to something new.
My PS3 works fine so i'm not sure i should drop another 400 on a system that i'm not sure i need.
Can someone explain the DRM. i understand it's digital rights media, but what's the direct effect to the consumer?

That's the same thing that I was wondering. I have the PS4 Slim and the 360 Slim, and they both are in great shape. So should I really drop another 400$ or 500$ on a new system.

Why should I as a person that has always been XBOX, have all my friends on XBOX & XBL, and full disclosure I hate the PS controller so much it has always been the sole reason I never purchased any PS products ...

WHY SHOULD I GET A PS4?

(THIS IS NOT A FLAME! Just a query as to why I should invest the money to get it. Please stay away from the fanboi, ranter responses ... I am trying to justify buying the PS4 because more than likely I'll get a XBONE and I want to be sure before I spend that kind of money to have both.)

For me it has always been about the exclusives...I can agree that the laucnh lineup of the PS4 isn't fantastic, but there are so many established exclusive series I enjoy.

If you don't enjoy those than it is not for you.

PS4 will have a changed controller slightly. GO to bestbuy and play the display system and see how you like the controller.

The only reason I ever buy any system is for the games. Compare the libraries of the xbox1 and ps4 and see which has the games you like better

I guess at the end of the day is which exclusives attract me more and if I would be willing to get both.

I still I will be getting both I guess it is which will I get first.

Sony needs to speak up about if they will have dedicated servers and how many. This is what they really need if they want to take true Xbox fans.

Fo realz ... most of the games I play are cross platforms and internet/multiplayer based. The dedication to XBL and servers for it is a major deciding factor for me.
