Driving the dang car ruins FF15 for me. I don't understand how they screwed that up so badly.

It gets so much better once you get the off-road version. I actually like the car, tbh.

Blitzball

I'm one of the few in number that HATED blitzball. I played it long enough to unlock Wakka's weapon ability and never a moment more.

I loved the monster arena and the superboss quest leading up to Penance on the international version though.

The story of X is what keeps me occasionally replaying it even today. Has its cornball moments but it's memorable and sticks with you.

I liked the car too. Honestly FF XV is in my top 5 FF games. I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy the bromance stuff brewing at the beginning but there is an awesome story there and it's beautiful to watch the whole thing unfold.

FF13 and it's sequels were just boring to me. I fell asleep during the beginning of FF13 and just never went back. To this day, it's the only Final Fantasy game I haven't finished and I even finished Mystic Quest!

That scene in the lake with Tidus and Yuna remains one of the most memorable moments in video games to me. I had never seen a video as beautiful as that on a gaming system, and it came at a time when you were really getting emotionally involved with Yuna as a character. Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, in XIII can compare to that moment. That scene might not be the best now that we are at PS5s and such, but for the PS2 days, it was amazing. As for Linear, it had a pathway, but you were able to branch off to other towns pretty early if I wasn't mistaken. Once we got to the great plains, I think that was where we did most of our grinding at to level up.

Truly my favorite leveling mechanism in any final fantasy game.

I love doing stupid stuff with it like making Lulu the most powerful attacker and Auron a caster.

FFXll License board. Basically make whatever character you want with any characters you want

Now I’m probably going to pick back up zodiac age.

To be fair, Zodiac Age totally eschews that in favor of a class-based system. That said, it may be possible to play the original version within the remaster.

I did not like the original version of FF12's leveling system. I was also like 14 at the time that the game came out, so I could've just not really understood it.

they are both linear as hell but everything about X was more engaging and interesting to me. Better art design, better characters, better story, etc.

the biggest criticism that FFXIII always seems to get is how linear it is.
It was advertised as being open.

Then you play the game, and the only open part is the grind area.

That was where the hate came from
