Spinoff from the best movies based on games thread, what movies that didn’t have video games based on them could be awesome video game experiences.
I would nominate “The Last Samurai”. You have a story line that’s interesting in a beautiful setting. You can have an open world situation for the areas around the village where you train to be a samurai, perform quests, and attempt to befriend the people in the village. You have missions fighting cavalry, native Americans, samurai, machine guns, etc.
I think it could be made into something cool.

quote:Tied for my favorite movie of all time. Never would have thought to make it a video game but now that you've said it, I could definitely see it.

Not a movie but Altered Carbon would be an awesome rpg.
We’re probably getting that with Cyberpunk

Edge of Tomorrow would be stupid easy to do. The entire plot is basically a video game analogue.

Obligatory not a movie but a Game of Thrones RPG that didn't completely suck would be awesome.

A survival horror western based on No Country For Old Men would have potential.

I'd love a Total War: Lord of the Rings. After they did a good job with Warhammer, they should go for more fantasy IP.

Goonies with all that old school feel good cinema vibe. Laura Croft can come too if she likes.

Edt:
Half-Life - first answer, read the title when waking up from nap.
Movie to game, I have nothing.

Judge Dredd, either of the films (I understand it's a comic as well), would be awesome.
Either GTA style administering justice throughout the city or a smaller game where you work your way up Peach Trees with a Co-Op partner.
That would be awesome
