Can't cut the list down to one! Will a console ever have as many great games as N64?? I doubt it.

The perfect dark multiplayer was goldeneye on steroids. You could customize anything on it, and the bots on the hardest difficulty were downright nasty

As a little kid it was just awesome. Plus the fact that they had bots with specific personalites (Kaze Sime was a kamikaze bot; Peace Sim would only disarm). I absolutely loved Goldeneye, but imo anybody that has played both games and still chooses Goldeneye is doing so only out of nostalgia because it was the first.

The only problem was the horrible framerate

I do recall the frames dipping at times, but I was 8 and so I can't say it ever really made my experience any less amazing.

Huge Nintendo fanboy here, but I'd say the PS2 had a damn impressive collection of games. Especially so if you loved JRPGS.

Underrated game: Conker's Bad Fur Day
Sells for $60+ on eBay. Most expensive game I've found. Recently bought a 64 and a bunch of the games I used to have.

Oh I loved me some conkers. The MP wasn't all that bad either. At least the Normandy map was pretty fun.

Conker was awesome, both single player and the multiplayer. Playing the tediz on Einstein was insane.

Remember how everyone made a big deal about how adult CFB was when it came out? Nowadays it would probably be rated T

Just for Nintendo to put out a game like that was mind blowing. I remember playing at a friends and we couldn't stop saying "is this really on the 64".

A couple of my buddies and I played capture the flag on Quake 2 like crazy. I know it's not GoldenEye so I'll probably get hammered for saying it, but Quake 2, Mario Kart and SSB were my top 3 for sure.

Really solid game on the 64. Never played any of the other games, so I don't know how well this one stacked up, but we played it for a good bit.

Quite jelly.

Mario Tennis was a blast as well. Never got into Golf. Our main golf game was this one.

Mario Tennis was the shite.

Shy Guy was Scruffy's character of choice. So many hours were put into that game back in the day.

Mario Golf was fun, but when it came down to it, it was just like any other golf game.

Tough question. As someone who owned every single Atari and Nintendo console as a kid and bought an SNES at release then bought an N64 at release:

Super Mario 64 was completely mindblowing. Probably the most unique experience relative to time I've ever had in a video game. Nothing came close to eh magic of even just running around to the castle. Many games might be better, more fun, more complete, more enjoyable, but that was just pure video gaming magic. I think I was 14 when that came out? So I wasn't really young, but that blew my mind.

Other great games: OoT, Conker, Waverace, Perfect Dark, Golden Eye, Mario Kart 64, Blast Corps

Underrated: Wayne Gretzky Hockey, International Superstar Soccer 64, Mario Tennis/Golf, Smash Brothers, Jet Force Gemini, Turok (all of them),

Really Underrated: Winback LINK
Hybrid Heaven LINK
