Was thinking the same, love the combat in that game.

Heavy Rain was a ton of fun.

I played the hell out of this.
I was a big fan of the SSI gold box D&D games back then, solid RPG action. This one kicked it up a notch with overhead views of the campaign (instead of the first-person box).
At the end there seemed like had worked out a way to transfer your characters (progress, gear, etc) to succeeding games, but no other succeeding games ever came out.

NES - The Guardian Legend
Master System - Spellcaster
Genesis - King’s Bounty
PlayStation - Treasures Of The Deep or Rock And Roll Racing 2 - Red Asphalt
Gameboy Color - Heroes Of Might And Magic
Gameboy Advance - Sigma Star Story
Gameboy DS - Point Blank DS
I tend to be a fan of arcade games, old school shooters, turn based strategy, etc, and that is mainly represented here.
There are better games on these platforms in some cases but these are generally ones which I get a lot of play out of without feeling like they have been beaten to death as major classics by everyone.

I know it’s simple and not the most incredible game, but I’ve been enjoying State of Decay 2 a lot with my 10 year old lately. He has his own community, and I have mine, but we’ll meet up and help each other do missions and loot and shite like that. Pretty fun
Also, Company of Heroes is still legit after all these years

Old School Runescape.
Extremely high skill ceiling, insanely long grind that never ends.
Hit a new all time high playercount yesterday.

Obligatory
Schilling's development company may have been a disaster overall, but they did manage to make a good game. It deserved a lot more than it got.

Pocket Tanks? I fricking loved that game. Used to play it online on PC with a great friend of mine a long time ago (early 2000s I believe). When I got a smartphone (which was a good six or seven years after they really became widespread) it was the first app I looked for. I don't remember when it came out exactly but it only had local MP at first. Sometime later it added online MP and I called up that same damn friend and we started playing it again.

Not sure if it's "underrated" but underappreciated maybe.
Dragon's Dogma is almost a perfect game to me. It has it's flaws and weird story, but the action/combat and character development options through vocation leveling and gear/perks is phenomenal if you, like myself, enjoy the pain and reward of long grinds (sometimes days) for a single piece of gear.
There are enough "nerfs" you can use to make even the hardest setting easier with proper planning and a willingness to haul arse away from a fight whenever necessary... But that said if you choose to engage in those fights (particularly areas of Bitterblack Isle) even on "easy" mode, the big baddies will wreck you effortlessly. Honestly, the endgame BBI content is in my opinion thus far the pinnacle of western action-rpg combat. You can chop your way through it skillfully with tricks up the sleeve, or play it very straightforward for a more "souls-like" experience on hard mode.
The ability to climb upon and strike weak points of massive enemies is reminiscent of Shadow of the Colossus on a smaller scale, while fights against smaller, faster enemies like wolves and bandits with skills, makes for a well balanced experience, with plenty of mid-tier mobs like drakes, cockatrices, griffons, ogres and cyclopes to fill in the gaps.
Can't wait for the sequel to drop.

They probably got a lot earlier than that. I doubt they made it past Last Butterfly like my buddy at work.

Folklore is a 2007 action role-playing video game developed by Game Republic and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is set in Ireland and the Celtic Otherworld of Irish mythology, centering on a young woman named Ellen, and a journalist named Keats, both playable characters who together unravel the mystery that the quaint village of Doolin hides, the mystery that can only be solved by seeking the memories of the dead in the dangerous, Folk-ridden Netherworld.
Very underrated PS game.

Has anyone ever underrated the Bioshock games?

The Ascent
Just got back into playing The Ascent. Finished the main story while it was on Gamepass but never got around to finishing all the side quests or the DLC mission. Picked it up for $8.00. Such a fun game.

Power Wash Simulator is really well made for a simple like that. Love just burning time in it.
