On the decision to return to the modern era, Zampella says, "I mean, if you look back to the peak or the pinnacle of Battlefield, it's that Battlefield 3... One thing I wish had landed more was the Close Quarters pack with BF3. Was so much fun. I know smaller arenas isn't what people go to BF games for, but I played solo mostly and I felt it was a good blend of BF and CoD. Eventually not enough people were playing them and it was impossible to find a non gun game on those maps.
