should i be pushing to get xp with vanguard first then move to the other factions?

You need to level up your vanguard now for the commendations. So if you plan on buying any Vanguard guns then you'll need this stuff. I personally have put minimal work into the factions other than a few specific things I wanted. The Vanguard suppliers will have most of the good stuff.

I'll be looking to hit the raid on my 3 characters this week for sure. Last night, I took my hunter and solo'd the lantern room and was trying to figure out the bridge when I hopped over to go run the Nightfall on my titan with some friends. I think a few of us are going to try and run the raid tonight if you and Witecoco are interested in running it. Should be able to push my warlock to 32 before it makes it to Crota with a few shards on the way there.

Ran through Crota's End on my hunter last night but still need to do it on my 31 titan.
Crota is really difficult to beat with people who have only cheesed through the end. Spent most of the night explaining how to kill him to several groups. Of course I got nothing but shards after we killed him.
