Do at least one public event per day for a shard or energy. Also I've been doing vanguard tiger playlist for legendary engrams to use for shards. I also bought an exotic engram from xur and a legendary armor pice just to dismantle for shards. It's def been the rate limiting step for upgrading to 29

For those wondering, Xur is in the room up to the right with the class trainers that are all around that bug arse table.
I have a question concerning the Crest of the Alpha Lupi for hunters. Is it worth the coins for what is mostly a raid beneficial chest piece with 100+ strength on it? I just haven't found the benefit in melee during upper level PvE since enemies hit so hard at close range and a hunter's melee doesn't kill with 1 hit.

I'm level 28. I've been doing every story mission on 28. I just want to finish upgrading my armor but te damn game won't let me 
The legendary engrams just won't come, so I'm having o grind crucible to get to level 3 so I can buy some shite.

I'm waiting for the Mask of the Third Man for my hunter. Less energy used in arc blade attacks. I mainly use my hunter for PVP and my Titan for PVE. My roommate leveled up my warlock to 20 and then bought his own xbox. He is level 23 now from random drops on my other characters and an unlucky exotic engram and I have yet to kill anything with him

Farm public events you get vangaurd marks and there is always a chance for a ascendant material drop.

The only melee without a one hit kill and without an overshield. It's a waste of a button on the controller. The knife is only fun to see how far you can actually throw it and get a critical kill for giggles when farming. Other than that I wish they would give me an option to not have melee and spend the talent on something else.

Agreed. It is so damn frustrating in pvp. I've lost count of how many times I've died in a mutual melee and the other guy lives. Happens most with the Titans. I would gladly exchange my melee for an extra grenade or something in pvp.

As a titan, I can see where the melee weakness sucks, but....
I hate you blade-dancing assholes because I am in my damage negating bubble shield and you can kill me in one hit.

I love running in a titan shield and hitting them with my melee and killing us both with my trip mine just to be a dick
Here's something I don't understand with gunslinger, why doesn't the shot critical when it is a precision damage hit? Give me that and I wouldn't say another word about my melee being a sack of dogshit. I know it does nothing in pvp but in pve it would be so satisfying.

No. One of the kids had a save point at Atheon on another character. Sat there for an hour and a half waiting for them to cheese him off the map. It was just four of us. They were finally able to do it and went nuts. It was pretty hilarious.

If that kid had called me a "couk" one more time I'd have lost it. I did enjoy the fact I got the Vex-mythocloast and suros regime drop when he did all the work and got nothing.
