Got the dual katanas last night and the story is starting to intrigue me more.
One minor complaint I have is that I liberated a Saito outpost and it’s still labeled as “Saito Outpost” on the map. I get why the name doesn’t update but it annoys me. Like I said though it’s just a minor complaint.

I think so. I hate one past of the game. You can clear out an enemy stronghold then die to the commander and have to restart the e tire thing

I might be having more fun with this game than Tsushima, but it's tough to say. I feel like Tsushima was the "tighter" package. It had (so far) a better story and a better sense of progression.
This game has more activities and in general things to keep me occupied, but I kind of hate the main character. She's 28 but looks 45. Her voice is somewhat unpleasant. The way she is portrayed in the story "so far," she comes off as being very weak and constantly fails at everything without the support of her NPC allies.
Character progression seems weirdly spaced out. You will go long stretches of the game fighting enemies with weapons that you don't have a counter for because you haven't gone to that part of the map to unlock it yet.
Combat in general feels a bit overtuned this time around. Fighting multiple enemies was not a strong suite of the original game, and the more aggressive enemy AI combined with the far shorter parry window exacerbates this. The boss fights also seem to drag on way too long. Even the fist handful of bosses take ages to chip away at their health while they can kill you in two hits, thus every boss fight becomes a battle of attrition even when you memorize their patterns.
I will reserve full judgement on the story though once I have seen the ending.

The main story progression and "level" progression does feel slow/non important. I liked in the GoT that the main story and the individual side stories had icons that were significant on the map, not just a small gingko leaf logo. Combat is more difficult, but I am enjoying it. Dual Katanas are awesome.

I'm purposely trying to avoid even fighting any of the Yotei Six. I have all the intel so the gingko leaves are present on the map, but I'm just trying to ignore them and mess around with bounties, shrines, bamboo strikes, and gambling for charms instead.

1000% agree. Definitely preferred how GoT handled that stuff.

This Takezo Duel. Holy shite that got tough. Maybe it's because I'm using the Bounty Armor, but combat is tougher than GoT

That was a fun ride. Just got the platinum and now I’m off to BF6!

I want to like this game but there’s so much boring filler. The music crap, pointless quests, etc

Finished it yesterday. Also had a ton of fun. Enjoyed the upped the difficulty. Would have like the story to be a little deeper - felt slightly rushed, and would have liked the side quests to be a little more aligned to the main story.
Definitely will give it a NG+ spin when available.

You’re getting downvoted but idk why. Everyone can not support anything for whatever they wish and I am choosing the same as you.
From what I can tell the game does little to differentiate itself from the original but I haven’t played it and I’m sure some gameplay improvements have been made. The story on the other hand I have watched and it’s literally just Last of Us 2 redux. Good thing they kept the budget low so even though it’s selling embarrassingly compared to the prior game they’ve easily made money
I’ll definitely check it out when it eventually hits ps plus

Finished it today. Really enjoyed playing on hard for the majority of the game
The boss fights were way too frustrating at that level and just crappy in general.
Why was so much of the island not available? Saving for DLC?

That may have been the plan but Sony had already confirmed there will be no DLC
