I finally cleared the 3rd shrine and just got the Rewind ability at the Temple of Time, but I needed to charge my Switch (handheld while Mrs Vox screamed at the TV for Splatoon 3 on hers).

I'm really enjoying this so far.

Took me longer than I care to admit that you only have to hit the fans once to activate them.

Meet the Like Like. It would eat your shield in the OG Zelda on NES.

Place the fans where the air blowing is facing the water in the back like a Leezyanna boat.

When you come to the end of a bridge and there is nothing around to build it to continue. Look-up.

They are building mechs in this game. Wild what you can do with the construction abilities

I just built a fully functional ATV and drove around in it.

Just put it down for the night. Didn’t progress the main story at all tonight. I just explored and activated the shrines to fill out as much of the map as I could. Revisited several spots from BOTW and it’s really cool how they’ve updated things.

Highly recommend y’all checking out Hateno Village

I’ve been spending most of my time exploring as well.

Found a tower to the south that requires building a scaffold so you can burn away thorns due to constant rainfall. I’m sure there is an intelligent way to do it but my hamfisted approach eventually worked.

My only real complaint is that they didn't update enough of it. Based on the age of some of the children in the game it appears its been a few good years since botw, but most of the map is still barren and in ruins. I'm sure all the Bolson material spots will play a factor in a side quest at some point and you'll help build Hyrule back, but to only have 1 new "town" is a little disappointing.

Also, where the hell is all the Sheikah stuff

I just got done with the Sky Island, and now I’m overwhelmed. I’m just doing the main story until the map opens up more.

I think I’m officially old in gaming years. I’ve died way more than I ever did in BOTW and I only have two shrines completed

Finally got down to the surface. Killed myself a few times trying to find that damned 4th shrine, though.

Actually I’m not being killed by enemies as much as I am fricking up and drowning/walking off a cliff

I went full ocd and unlocked all the towers on the overworld. Now that I’ve got the map fully revealed, I can actually start playing the game.

It is definitely worth your time to mess around in the depths as well.

Just had my first recall of Ganon. So glad we have real villain this time instead of the whatever it was is Botw. Should make for a much better final boss fight too.

JFC the gloom puddle of hands and what happens after you kill it can frick right off

Definitely recommend doing the main story arc to unlock certain stuff before venturing forth. Died a lot until I got a particular item and annoyed with myself for wasting time.

Somehow I overlooked meeting someone in a giant cave and explored pretty much the whole thing. Found him after hours of exploration when it should have been minutes lol. Good news is I collected a truckload of items I feel I shouldn't have yet.

Purah could get it
