Just beat it. Had 269 moons when I finished. Holy cow there are so many more left!
Tons of moons. I got everyone in the first sand world. Sort of spent my load. Had no energy collecting all moving forward. I will finish the game first then go back.
What is everyones favorite world so far?

Yeah I was averaging between 30-40 on each kingdom before I moved on. I got a little lazier at the end though. I think my favorite is the Luncheon Kingdom. Next is the Moon.

Do you all use the Hint Toad/Hint Bird to help with finding the moons? There are many of the moons that I absolutely have to have help with, but then once you get the help it's like it makes it too easy.

I use the hints. Very helpful if your close to finding the last few ones.

Christ.
A lot of the game is very easy but the challenge really lies in finding all of the moons and getting to them, like in those videos.
I will say this, the creativity in level and enemy design is top notch for this game. There have been some strange encounters for me so far. I feel like I'm tripping on Mario acid when I play this game.

Super Mario Odyssey Honest Trailer
Im shocked how they didn’t go after the ending of the game. Seems to have been perfect for it.

Hated that place. That and Lost Kingdom.
#1 - Bowser's Kingdom - The music, the bird-wall puzzles. So much fun.
#2 - Wood Kingdom
I wish New Donk City was bigger. I love that place. I also liked Seaside with the bubble guys and mobile hat stores.

Last I checked, I still had the 26th best time in the world on the RC Car time trial. It's probably fallen a few spots but 22.20 should hold up a while.
ETA: As a side note, I'm never playing that fricking minigame again.

Browser's Castle for me.
The cooking world whatever it was called was pretty cool. Cruising around as a fireball, nice.

Bowsers castle is more galaxy like
My favorite is the wooded kingdom as something new
And the lunch kingdom as something a little more mario 64 old school

I have to say the Hat mechanic was a perfectly done homage to Space Station Silicon Valley. An underrated mechanic that, while i know Nintendo likes to do something new with each Mario game, I'd love to see them go crazy and do it again, a la Galaxy.
Give us an Odyssey 2. That mechanic is totally worth it.

Just beat Bowser. frick Peach, acting like she's going to leave Mario in his hat air baloon.

It’s not hard. Just have to be patient
You beat the bullet bill challenge on the dark moon. Spent 30 minutes on that and said frick it

Just started playing and I'm really flying thru it. Fun game but It's far too easy.

Just want to come post my thoughts after having the game for 2+ weeks.
It is definitely as good or better than Mario 64. I've sunk 60 hours into it and only have 400 moons. The moons grind doesn't feel like a "grind". Yea, it's a bit easy but that's part of the charm (my 7 year old is having fun playing it), the story is just the beginning of the moon hunt.
There's a spot on article on the avclub how open world games were broken, and Nintendo spent 2017 trying to fix them. They succeeded. LINK
I loved BoTW and Odyssey is just so FUN to play. The costumes are a nice touch (I'm running around as Waligi rn) and they were able to take a grindy thing and make it fun. Unlike Horizon and Witcher which can at times feel like map grindfests Odyssey is just to "fun" to play the grind. The enemies capturing is a nice touch, and the visuals are awesome.
It's right up there with the best 3D platformers and right next to 64 IMO.
