I'm really good at platformers.. that's all. I perfected the distance jump, into hat dive, into dive and just ran with it. You can get to places you are suppose to "spring" into if you learn how to do some of these insane moves. That's what I love about Odyssey probably moreso than any other Mario - his movement has been refined to perfection, and each player will do some crazy things to get there.
If you noticed my very short time on the wooded race, it's where I learned this stuff.. here

I'm trading Splatoon in for Skyrim as well. Just "beat it" and I think I'm only at about 250 or so moons.

I got really excited when I approached the first tower painting that I came across in Mushroom Kingdom. Then I became very disappointed when it just turned out to be a series of boss battle redos.

Just unlocked this. Saw how those metal cubes are now unlocked on every world so I decided to go back through and get all the moons that show up before making going there.
When you activate those cubes, does that then show you where all the remaining moons are on the world? Or are those just specific new moons unlocked by the cube.

All I have to say is...frick the Darker Side course. I've only been able to get past the protruding blocks part once, and I fricked up trying to get to that higher area to see if anything was up there and I ended up falling into the lava. Haven't been able to do it again. I keep fricking up the wall jumps by bouncing off the wall and then coming "out of the screen" instead of going side to side. And they don't give you enough time to recover.

I finished this last night.
It was a huge surprise for me that I got to be Bowser to save everyone. Kind of cool.
Also, I get to explore Peaches castle and grounds now?! What a trip back in time!
Excellent game. Wonderful laugh out loud moments and some rather difficult moves for a 3D platformer.

Girlfriend got me a switch w/ Odyssey for my birthday... I have one thing to say:
Sweet mother of God. Just a flat out joy to play. I can’t remember a game that made me genuinely happy like this one does. The gf went to bed around 9pm so I stayed up 6 hours playing... Spent a lonnnggg time in the sand kingdom then went to the lake kingdom..
(side note)
Top 3 must have games for your Switch? I only got Odyssey so I’m looking to get a few more. Definitely getting Zelda and Kart, any others I should try?
