How much have you played of it?

Starfield is awesome and I'm looking forward to this. Hoping I can start playing before the new year but this is my busiest time of year so maybe not. All my free time is used on watching college football and going to church this time of year.

I really wish people would stop being counts to one another on here. Plenty of other boards for it; I don’t understand why people feel compelled to bring it here as well :/

I am playing on PC but FPS feels all over the place on the new planet

Got through the initial "mission" on the starstation and made it to the Varunn planet. Lot of setup but the first mission I did to rescue the hostages was fun.
Don't feel too overpowered and a lot of the "new" enemies are pretty strong.

It definitely feels more handcrafted. Took the rev 8 around the outskirts of the city and there are multiple POIs that they spent a good amount of time on.
Even the dialogue options felt more legitimate. You can actually be a major a-hole now if you want
Had a good chuckle at one option "I just got here and the council is already really annoying."

Likely an optimization issue causing you to bounce around between CPU and GPU bound. Try capping your frame rate a bit lower to see if that helps. Lower and smooth will feel better than higher but variable, even if the lows are the same.

Yeah my point is this expansion is an unoptimized mess. I'm in an interior and FPS is swinging all over the place between 70-90 FPS.
In the base game it's almost always at 100+ FPS.

I hear ya. Just saying that if you cap your fps at 70, you’ll probably enjoy your current experience more

Watched a friend play the new DLC in discord and I dont think there is any defending the $30 pricetag for the lack of content. I dont think defending Bethesda is a good idea if you actually care about their IPs and want them to produce good games again.

I don't mind MS exclusives, but I do take issue with Microsoft using their massive cash reserves to buy up third party studios then shuttering them or commencing mass layoffs.

It definitely seems mixed. Greg Miller from Kinda Funny really loves it, Mr Matty, big Bethesda guy, put out a video titled "Shattered Space broke my heart".
Suppose it depends on your expectations. I think a lot of players were hoping this would completely revamp the direction of the game and I guess it doesn't do that. But then I think most are just happy to play in one location and not have to system hop.
I'm like a couple hours in. It seems fine, haven't seen anything to away my opinion in any direction. Game looks good, though.

I like it so far. I’m on Ng+ and the combat is definitely move advanced than the base game. Seeing multiple 70+ fighters is a nice change over raiding bases with 25 ish level defenders.
