I just hit level 20, modified my captured UC Econohauler up to 4630 cargo so I can feed my hording obsession. LOL

Got Particle Beams and Ballistic Weps maxed out on the ship, missiles @9/12 bars. And just figured out I can repair hull while flying for cheap.

Have you tried keeping you grav drive powered up and jumping out to repair and jumping back in? Repeat until you wear them down.

I've been tempted but keep telling myself this isn't GTA. This is my "good" playthrough, on my next I'll slap her around

The UC mission line where you infiltrate the Crimson fleet has a huge payout. You can look it up, I won't spoil it.

Did you feel at all compelled to side with the pirates at the end of this? I'm just starting it now.

Yes but I went in knowing I would side with UC since I'm playing a "Boy Scout" but there are some good characters on the pirate side if you talk to some at the base. I'll be playing through again and choose pirate. Pirates have more fun.

On next playthrough then remember to save before jumping systems in case of random encounter with ships you might want to pirate. That way you can cut loose any snooty comps and not lose rep with them.

I get so paranoid that I’m missing one of those magazine stat boosts that is spend half my time meticulously searching every building during a mission or random planet location.

Also, if you find a random map location called Safe House Alpha, make sure to fully explore any cracks in the wall

Downloaded the game the other night and got to New Atlantis. Did the cheat to get the armor in The Lodge basement

I’ve been doing debt collection for the bank and it’s been a lot of fun. I’m really glad I did the trait where your parents are still alive. They’re my favorite side characters so far. I have the dream home but I just go back to the parents house and leave my character there when I log off

I’ve been playing this game non stop. Haven’t even started the main story quests. Just leveling up, side missions, and meeting different factions.

Not a cheat. Clever use of the theft

I've done the opposite, all main story

I was alternating between story and sides, especially Freestar side missions. I reached a point in the mains and I am shocked they waited that long to introduce something so significant. I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to do the mains

To be fair I hit that point, got it, and haven't used it once. I'm not even sure what it does.

I still haven't progressed my main story yet, got sidetracked by doing money runs from the casino to Wolf's Den and back. My goal was to upgrade my Mantis ship enoug to survive a dogfight (have to repair some satellites that some pirates don't want repaired) but the pirates still beat my arse. I guess I need to do some mission boards to get some skills to help out with that.

The more power allocated to the grav drive the quicker your ship will jump. If you're getting worked reallocate power and jump out. Allow ships systems to regenerate and use ship parts to fix the hull. If it's real bad you can go to a ship technician to get repaired. When you are ready jump back in and continue the fight.

This mission glitched on me and now I can’t finish it.

1. I accidentally threw a grenade in Atlantis and had to escape the law.

2. I went and worked on the mission above and the pirates were kicking my arse on the 2nd satellite repair.

3. I jumped back to the Atlantis system to try and buy parts and they captured me in my ship and made me go to jail.

4. When I launched back off the Atlantis planet, the pirate ships from the satellite mission were in orbit of Atlantis and the UC ships destroyed them (this has to be a glitch)

5. Now I can’t fast travel back to the satellite mission and when I fly there on my own, there is no satellite.

6. Mission is sitting open and unfinished and I can’t figure out any way to do it.

Well, I have a game breaking bug. Cant even do the main mission to go find Moara. Character freezes with his head missing. I’ve put in close to 50 hours on exploring and side missions.

Hopefully a patch comes out because I can’t play the main quest at all.

Edit: it’s actually even worse. Every gun fight I get in now just freezes. FML

Edit 2: so it looks like it only freezes trying to fight in 3rd person view. Really annoying, but manageable.

So I finished the MSQ and started NG+. For those of you that are ignoring the MSQ and doing all the side stuff, I highly....HIGHLY...recommend you stop and go through the MSQ and finish it, assuming you have the gear to do so.

Just trust me.

Trying to keep it spoiler free, but all the info as to why it's beneficial to finish up the MSQ as soon as possible is out there if you want to read about it.
