Ive said said for a while bloodborne is their like break glass in case of emergency IP. They might well be in that situation. They would have had to convince fromsoft to be on board with it though

Agreed. I don’t think Fromsoft or specifically Miyazaki wants to do it. Sony theoretically could make it by handing it off to someone else but that would be doomed from the jump

im sure you are right. Rebirth just kinda soured me on the whole project. Im not overly excited to hear or see anything from it right now.

I like the combat in the the remakes.

I do think the way forward and the future for FF is building a game with a system that can be played in both action and turn based modes.

They might now be able to implement this until FF17 though, I just have a hard time believing the remake trilogy’s mechanics and other demands can accommodate it when it likely wasn’t planned for from the outset

Hopefully they let business unit one both keep the entire team together and move on to be the ones who make 17 after they ship part 3 of the remake. Ever since 10 SQE does the dumbest shite where after a team makes a FF game they disband it and create a new team for the next one. CB1 staying together from part 1 of this remake all the way to part 3 retains immense institutional knowledge and ways of working together that is allowing the game to have a 3 year turn around
