Sony has really fast IOPS and some exclusives they will not you have unless you pay full price.

Sony has fairly large sales all the time on their store front. I haven't paid full price for a single game I've bought on PS5.

I have the XBSX, PS5, and beefed up PC.

I typically lean Xbox historically, but PS5 is my preferred console this gen so far. I'd say by a considerable margin.

Selling more consoles isn’t the goal at this point. That’s like a team bragging about winning 20-0 on Friday night but then they lose Saturday and Sunday.

Just took Saturday 10 years to show up and the game has just started.

PlayStation is fine. If you are going to allow Xbox a decade to finally have an answer..you need to give that time for PlayStation as well to respond.

OP:

If you want to play games with friends…get what they got.

Look at what game pass has to offer you.

Then look at what exclusives PlayStation has to offer. Watch videos etc.

Then make you own decision. Nothing matters as long as you are happy with what you got.

My how the goal posts have been moved.

I remember the same group of Xbox edge lords in here arguing XSX would outpace the PS5 in sales because it was slightly superior graphically and game pass is the best thing since sliced bread.

Yet here we are, again, PlayStation can’t keep PS5s in stock more than 1 minute online. Yeah Xbox’s game pass Is a superior product to almost anything Sony has to offer (especially for the value) but as we’ve seen with sales it’s not enough. Xbox’s only hope to reclaim the #1 title from the 360 years is buying large studios and being first to cloud gaming.

I’m a PS guy but I don’t care about the back and forth about the consoles on here. I just find it funny xbox bros feverishly jump come into these threads acting like Sony may not be around another 5 years

It’s not superior or of better value if there is no games I need to play on it. It’s all relative to the person. I guess unfortunately for me all the games I want/need to play are PS exclusives. Plus the best MMO is on that console as well. My time sink outside of playing the exclusives I want is on FFXIV …not scrolling through 1000 mobile games in game pass.

My perfect scenario would be for a PS monthly pass that didn’t necessarily have to offer day one exclusives but if they put a bunch of retro PS games dating back to the PS1.

I knew this thread would turn in to a Xbox circle jerk.

I mean that’s perfect for you. But I speak for myself and I am confident in most other Sony preferred customers we get that console for their without par single player narrative experience games as well as from they began to now for how long it last getting our faces like FF early, Ps5 the system is amazing. It’s a technical piece of brilliance. I have not played one game on there I wouldn’t have enjoyed exactly as much as if I just used my PS4 pro with one exception being 120 minutes of Ff temake dlc

The system is still in its infancy brother. You always have those games made for next and old gen at the start.

Elden ring is good. But we got Bloodbourne same for PS4. What other launch title in the mold of Sony audiences (Last of One, an amazing FF game, etc) do we have?

Whoever said that did not understand MS current strategy at all. The consoles are just another device for Microsoft to service you with Gamepass.

Do not think the goal post have moved really. PS4 built a huge lead over X1, so there is a large fan base (mostly transgender), that will get the PS5.

Looking at the Gap chart in units, we can already see a peak and decline forming. Will it be sustained is yet unknown

Microsoft is blowing the doors off Sony in advancing it's gaming footprint, so it is going to be a tough battle.

Sony is lagging and truly lacking the ability for a cloud model. Here is what Microsoft has currently built out

How is Sony going to catch up without killing their bottom line? Sony makes some pretty games from Legacy units, but lacks a vision to move beyond look at them IOPS

Peak Sony has occurred, come to grips with it or the pain will fester.

As long as the analog sticks on the Xbox controller aren't symmetrical, I will never buy an Xbox. The controller is retarded

The Xbox controller has been the best controller since the 360 but the PS5 controller is light years better than the PS4.
