I love gaming, but man I miss when that shite was like drugs.

Waking up on Christmas break playing Black Ops and Black ops 2 was just peak childhood.

Can’t wait till my boys are older and I get to experience this with them.

You make me feel old.

I remember getting a Sega Genesis and then an N64.

I would've been 4 or 5 when Black ops 2 came out... I feel like a spring chicken

Don't wish your life away man. Cherish every moment. They'll never be this age again.

DK Country was an addiction for my Christmas break. The graphics were like nothing I’ve ever seen at the time. And the game and bosses were just fun!

It was an outstanding game from beginning to end for its time. The music was elite as well.

I can still hear the sound of the mining cart jumping on the tracks.

Fast forward to DK Country Tropical Freeze, which also looks amazing and is also the hardest platformer I’ve ever played and it’s not particularly close. Gave up about halfway through I’m guessing

Meh, just embrace the magic. I find myself trying to con my way into a little extra time with Balder’s Gate 3 on a daily basis. Not much different from when I was a kid

I don’t have the time I used to now that I have kids. I still get some in a few hours a week after they go to sleep but the game nights until 2-3 am are long gone

My daughter is starting to pay attention to games like Mario because they have bright colors. They have no choice but to be into video games when they are older

Sheesh. You kids with your fancy gaming systems... My christmas was a bit more old school!

Eta - I'm now playing BG3 on the new PC I built a few months ago... We get older, but that just means our toys get more expensive!
