Go "rent" a card from Best Buy. They have a 14 day no questions asked return policy.
I did it a few months back with no issues.

Does "In Transit" fron Fedex mean it's out for delivery or does it mean that it's going to a different facility?
Posted on 8/2/13 at 2:47 pm to bluebarracuda
It will say "out for delivery" when it is actually scheduled to show up.
Posted on 8/2/13 at 2:56 pm to bluebarracuda
no it will say "out for delivery". your item is sitting in a warehouse

Ooh, that's fedex smartpost. Sounds like your card landed at the Bluebonnet post office and is on its way to your local post office (where are your mail goes before it gets delivered to your house).
If your local postal worker is nice, they might actually go look for it (One of them at my local PO knows me pretty well, but sometimes she's not there and the other workers are not helpful).
Otherwise, since it's the post office, you will probably get your card tomorrow with your regular mail.

Hmmm I'll have to find out where my local PO is then. I live like 5 minutes away from the bluebonnet office now, I wish they would have kept it there

I just picked up a 7870 Myst for $137 but I have to spend $8 for a replacement fan for it.

I've watched a few of there video cards. Wanted to bid some, but I didn't want to be stuck with a dud.
I saw a few of their cards where people have actually burned it. I don't understand how people do that

You know Freds = Newegg...right?
Same contact info and I have bought from them and it even comes in a Newegg box.
Yea I have seen the ones people burn too. I am amazed at the damage people can do to stuff. As far as getting burned or stuck with something if you read the descriptions on stuff and bid smart you should be OK. I always figure I can sell it for what I pay for it even if it is a dud. Hell, I sold one dud I couldn't get working for more than I paid for it. It was only like $8 after eBay fees but still.

Yea, I figured this was the seller you were talking about.
I remember seeing a few AMD CPUs on there with bent/broken pins. You should learn how to fix those bad boys since they were selling for like $60-70 (8350s)

Yea I was watching the CPUs as well but those 8350s always end up going for $140+. Too much for one you have to repair.
No one buys the APUs though.

The APUs up right now are shitty too. They have some really nice mobos up with bent pins, though. Especially those x79 boards

I can get my hands on 2011 replacement sockets FYI. I just don't have a CPU to test with when finished with the repairs. 1150 is the only socket I can't find yet. There has already been tons of 1150 bent pin boards on there too that I have passed on

Does anyone have two 6pin to molex adapter in the BR area (looking at you lsutoo and coyote)? My PSU (corsair cx430m) only has a single 6pin cable, so I'm going to use molex instead.
Coyote, did your 7950 TFIII come with two? I'm pretty sure mine did whenever I got it.

I figured that's why you haven't tried yet. Gives you an excuse to upgrade
You and coyote should work out something for when he upgrades to IB-E

I need to just order the cheapest 2011 chip I can find. I don't want to spend a lot on one in case it gets messes up during testing. I haven't really looked though but the 1155 I have cost like $45. The CPU in my 2 year old laptop is more powerful than it probably.

Not sure if anyone has seen this but I figured I'd post it.

For a 680 that's not a bad deal. 7970s are still cheaper with the same performance. That card is also a 3 slot card which is a buzzkill for me

The cheapest you will find is a 3820... And those are still going for $220+
Posted on 8/2/13 at 3:39 pm to bluebarracuda
Yea F that. I looked once and it was actually $299. I gave up on 2011 for now. The Z77 boards are still selling decent.
