I did look at those though and thought about getting some black after market heat spreaders for them to match everything else about my build because I am pretty anal about that sort of thing.
Yeah, I'd be the same way. G.Skill makes good RAM, and they almost always have the best prices, but too many of them have those ugly heat spreaders.
The CL9 ones have black HS's though, and are cheaper, and you probably won't notice any difference.

What is an xmp profile? Is it like a built in overclock?
Yep, XMP stands for extreme memory profiles (which makes "XMP profile" redundant, like ATM Machine, but oh well). It's essentially an idiot-proof way to set your RAM's basic specs without messing anything up. In theory, it is supposed to let you just install RAM, boot to Windows, and everything would be running at the correct speed assuming the RAM and mobo were XMP compatible, but usually you have to go into the bios and turn it on anyway. It's not really all that amazing when you're using an unlocked CPU. Stout can achieve the same thing just by using the manual drop-downs to select the correct specs on any given module.

They are total assholes about that. It's probably at the Coursey warehouse. The staff there might be more helpful, but they'll likely tell you that it's still sealed in a crate/palette with hundreds of other packages. My impatient arse has tried many times to get my fedex deliveries early when they were at the BR warehouse. I've failed every time.

a PSU made by Corsair, XFX, or SeaSonic. (Corsair doesnt build anything, but has high quality controls on their units. SeaSonic makes both their own and other PSUs including all of XFX and some Corsair).
i know newegg has the CX600M model by corsair for $50 after MIR.
eta: antec, cooler master, thermaltake, ocz, and raidmax all have acceptable models as well, but its more hit/miss.
Cases depend on taste, but you cannot go wrong with a Fractal Design case. If those are too much you can look at the Xigmatek's or NZXT. The Xig Asgard 381 black model is on sale for $25 right now. I just bought two of them actually for some cheapo builds im gonna sell.

As much shite as you swap out all of the time you don't have a spare back up?

I rarely keep back ups of video cards. If I sell a part, thats usually the first to go since theyre the easiest to get rid of.
The only parts I had were the 955, ssd and case.

I bought a GTX560 yesterday for $30 to keep as a spare and to put in my HTPC since I sold that 660 and am giving my nephew my 7870.
I have now gone full circle in a little over a year as a 560 was my first vid card I bought last June for my first build.
BTW, I want to show y'all how stupid people get with buying stuff on Amazon. We all know you can find brand new 660s on Newegg for $150 or so. Well...
I had only paid $60 for that card too.
