I want to see a pic of it in hand... How wonky does it feel?
The fold phones so appealing to me. I'm not a power user, but whenever I use my phone, it's for media consumption/poker/google sheets. I would love the ability to multi-task on those phones

Yeah that's me as well.
Actually solid in the hands, its heavy but not bad. Chunky as hell closed and heavier. Front screen is nice upgrade makes using it like a regular phone possible now. Then flip it open when you want.
I'll take some more pics tomorrow out in the light and once its all setup.

I really need to upgrade from my OG XL because the battery life is basically non existent now. I wake up, use it for Waze/music to work occasionally use GroupMe/discord/TD if I'm not on my work PC, and by lunch I'm at like 30%.
The performance is okay, can be laggy at times but overall still enjoy the phone. I just wish coyote wasn't having problems with the 4a or I would go for that

I posted earlier in this thread about why this could be an issue.
Nvidia had concerns about yields for the modified Samsung 8nm process used to produce the RTX chips.
This was always going to be a paper launch.
Its a shame, because the performance, despite not being the 2x Nvidia claimed, is still amazing for the price.
This gives AMD an opening, if they can have proper stock of the RX 6000 series to make a dent if they can nail price/performance.

Yeah, first run is always tough, esp with the size of GA102, not much room in waffer so less chips per waffer. Since the 3080 is just a cut down 3090 (chip that didn't meet spec for GA102-300 during binning, disabling SMUs), less potentially failed GA102-300s means less GA102-200s.
So thinking you might see an even longer lag this release compared to previous gens.
Hopefully they are still getting decent yields for the GA102-300

any of yall baws have a spare GPU I can rent until I get either a 3080 or 3090? really didn't think it would be this shitty of a launch and I need something to run my PC
ill gladly pay to borrow something for a few weeks

AMD should. TSMC has no shortage of 7nm. Samsung still has terrible yields despite their 8nm being many years old and just an extension of 10nm not a new process. That's just how mediocre the Samsung foundry is anymore.
