What are you guys thoughts on the Eve Spectrum?
27" 4k 144hz IPS
HDMI 2.1
HDR600
750 nits
$669
They also have 1440p 144hz for $419 and 1440p 240hz for $569.

I would just get the LG monitor UH has been talking about for like $100 more

I'm looking for an oddly specific case, anyone know of anything that has the following?
- Mid tower preferred, nothing smaller (full tower works, or a larger mATX tower)
- No windowed side panel
- Has a handle
I'm looking to attach a 23" monitor to the side panel of the case and make it a machine I can take with me to BR when I go in town.
Machine will be nothing fancy... i5 8500, cheapest possible mobo, 8gb of ram, 256gb nvme drive and probably something like a 1070

It's got that uglass red on it though. Why spend $100 more anyway? The eve spectrum uses an LG panel.
ETA: Eek, apparently they have a history of taking pre-order monies and not delivering.

You should look up Eve's previous "community developed" product. 2 years and people are still waiting on orders.
You couldn't pay me to deal with that sketchy arse lying company.
ETA: I see you have discovered this
Also some more monitor news: the Acer 28" 4K/144Hz HDMI2.1 has been pushed to 2021. It doesn't have a very wide color gamut anyways at 90% DCI-P3 whereas LG NanoIPS's are 98% and tops in the game yet the MSRP is at $1,243. I really do not know how LG is selling the GN950 at $799 for what it offers. The 32" Asus that Carson alludes to will be 2021 as well and at least $1200+, which is just bonkers when you compare how awful they are compared to TV's but cost the same.

What’s a good prebuilt thatll handle crusader kings 3? Finally gonna buy a PC. Not going to be playing any FPS or really anything too graphics heavy and yes I know building your own is the way to go but I’m lazy and would rather instant gratification.

Did Corsair ever finalize the acquisition of OriginPCs?
Edt: oh, few months back
Isn't Corsair also rumored to go public?

Well we knew nvidia was exaggerating a bit calling the 3080 "up to" twice as fast as a 2080 (with probably RTX on and DLSS or something), but still pretty promising.
Hardware Unboxed got +31% at 4k than 2080 TI across 14 games but only +21% at 1440p. Still a HUGE leap over Turing vs. Pascal especially in price/performance.
In their test system with a 2080ti it drew 433 watts while gaming vs. 523 watts on the 3080.
Sounds like the 3070 will in fact be right at 2080Ti level of performance, not bad. Poor 2080Ti owners
