a complete 180 from my usual, I am a god at defense in this game but seemingly cannot complete a pass.

Unrelated note, I wish there was a middle ground between the AI completely managing recruiting and me completely managing it.

I’m still a little disappointed I could t get dynasty work yesterday.
I got it to work by unplugging my Ethernet cable then I was able to start a dynasty and then I plugged the cable back in. Read that’s what a lot of people had to do yesterday.
Maybe it’s fixed today

quote:yeah those are hard for cpu to stop. There’s a double pass gadget play that leaves the receiver open like 90% of the time for a td. Heisman is extremely difficult, at least if you’re playing with Arkansas
The jet tap passes are insane.

Passing is pretty difficult with the new format and will take some getting used to. At least the deep shots. Seems like every ball I throw is underthrown when going deep but can hit crossers and drags just fine. Seems like with every other football game you can’t really lead people on deep balls, you can just determine how much air you put under it but the ball still goes to the same spot.
Hold the left stick up (but not too far up) when throwing deep balls

I changed from power spread to pro style and suddenly I could score on all American. Still can’t cover or tackle in open space for shite though

there's no telling how many times i'm at the 50/opp 40 yd line, and i have the DB beat by 5 steps and the ball is always short of the endzone at the 5/10 yd line. causes the WR to slow down and it get's tipped or instantly INT.
"drop it in the endzone, retard!!!"
or a corner route from the 20 yd line and the back corner of the endzone is wide open. nope, drops it in at the 5 only to get tipped again.

Yea I got to get in the lab after work and find a playbook I like. Wasn’t a big fan of the default LSU one. I like having some under center sets to play out of.

There’s a setting in the gameplay I believe that you can tune the passing settings and make it to where it will lead passes a bit more. It’s perfect by taking it up one notch. Under *Passing Mechanics* change your ‘Pass Lead Increase’ to small
Also upping the contrast one tick makes the game pop. Tiger Stadium looks phenomenal.

Yeah, i have trouble seeing who i'm controlling. On kickoff, i have no idea who i control and hope i'm guessing the direction to move correctly.

Another thing I'll mention, I am not sure if anyone has this trouble, but the O-Line blocking is absolutely atrocious... I am on All-American and want to go to Freshman
I can't imagine Heisman

I just don’t understand why you’re forced to use the playbook of the team you’re using in online h2h…surely this will get patched? It just doesn’t make sense

i adjusted some sliders last night. showcased my skills to my wife when she came home from work. she's an Auburn fan.
Auburn v Bama
it's absolutely pathetic that Auburn only has like 6-9 plays that are "Inside Runs" and none of them are dive plays. they're all inside zones.

ran the same play all 4th qtr and was consistently getting 3-5 yds per carry.
Jarquez Hunter had:
yellow arms
yellow legs
yellow feet
red chest
i think the probability of being injured was in the 90s by the end of the game. he was absolutely destroyed.

That’s a big frick up by EA
I don't get the need to go to the cloud for dynasty. What's wrong with using internal hard drive for offline dynasties?
So after sleeping on it, my review of the game after playing 3 1/2 play now games. (difficulty, varsity)
1) Defense is not easy. I watched a youtube page and some guy said dime, cover 4 cloud, was teh best run defense (which is silly), showing 0 cover. I ran it a few times and did much better overall. My run defense was actually adequate, but again, i was playing BYU at BYO in the snow. My PC pass defense is pretty shitty, until the end of the game. Opposing QB's are having a field day in terms of completion percentage, however, 4th quarter i actually got a couple picks and some deflections.
2) Running has gotten better. Follow the holes and your blockers and you'll be fine.
3) RPO.... i still don't quite get it. The controls are back asswards. Old NCAA and evey madden, if you wanted to keep the ball with the qb, you just didn't press down on A. It's the opposite now, and my brain hasn't rewired itself to think differently. I really have to pause before every RPO to talk to myself, "ok, if the key guy on defense goes with the RB, hold down a, if he stays, don't push a".
4) Passing - On varsity, passing isn't that bad. On all american, your passing window is very small and i was throwing multiple interceptions/game. I think that's probably work for the sliders.
5) Josh Williams is a beast on varsity. Mason Taylor is a monster. And Weeks needs to pull his damn shirt down over his abs. It's snowing in Utah, bro. Nobody needs to see that.

I want to get my dynasty started, but i think i need 1 more game on all american and use that to tune up the sliders and figure out my playbook and get my RPO down.
It is a much funner game now, than my first couple games.

Yup. 4th quarter about to upset Kentucky with USM… finally went ahead by FG after going down by 14, fought my way back…game crashed with 1 minute left.

Are they dropping an update on Friday for the regular release? Surely so because there’s a lot of bugs…
Like you can’t change jerseys in practice mode…how strange

1. I'm glad I don't play online H2H much if at all. It seems like a lot of complaints around the webs are centered on issues with that feature.
2. I feel like it plays a really good game of football. I played as a good team versus a shite team and moved the ball easily. I then played as Georgia Tech at UGA and found that I'd have to be very methodical and smart with playcalling to move the ball. Ended up losing by 13 which based on the game in real life last year isn't that far off. I then played as Army at Notre Dame and got down 21-0 real quick (within the first 8 minutes of the game). Changed up the strategy from running triple option to more of a rocket toss and called FB dives strategy and was able to hold onto the ball and get 3-5 yards a play. Ended up being a good game where I forced a couple of INTs to get back into it and ended up losing by 10 or so on the road. But it was hard to score which I thought was great. In NCAA 14 I could score with ease against anyone using the Flexbone offenses.
3. Speaking of Flexbone...being a Georgia Tech graduate I had to watch that offense for 11 years and felt like I was pretty knowledgable about the different facets and intricacies of the system. They did a really damned good job of implementing it in this game. Especially with the QB counter options, the timing of the rocket toss, the midline iso, the various key reads of the option plays to have some variation. Instead of just having a triple option where you read the DE/rush, you have other options reading tackles and other linemen (midline triple, inside veer, etc).
4. There's a play that Georgia Tech ran in real life this year under Buster Faulkner that I found in the game. Shotgun Slot Rt Weak Over - RPO Read Y Slide....it's a trips right formation with a tight end on the left side of the line and the RB on the QBs left. Runs a RPO as usual and the TE runs out ot the left flat. In real life he was always open and we scored several TDs and got a number of key first downs on that same play this season. Had similar success using it in CFB25. It doesn't go for huge yardage but is a great short yardage play.

I changed passing to Classic Mode and Blake Shapen turned into Bret Favre
Seems like the CPU will score when it wants to. I got into a 4th quarter shootout with Florida, where we were just trading TDs.
