Glad everyone is really digging this game. Cant wait to play, but seriously thinking of getting a new pc first, rather than getting on ps4.

BTW, if you choose the "yes" option on simulate Witcher 2 save, then you will be able to choose what happened in that game maybe ~1-2 hours into the game, depending on how long it takes it. If you choose the "no" option, the game chooses a default version of choices made in Witcher 2. I don't know how it works for PC save transferring though.

Apparently I missed an item that's possibly important, in like the first 30 minutes of the game. Some skull thing.
I think I am going to stop reading anything about the game unless I specifically get stuck somewhere. I would hope that forgetting to pick up an item wouldn't be game-breaking, but I know RPGs can be unforgiving, which is why I usually don't play them.

I'm not reading anything I am just playing the game and having fun, I think the game has a ton of possible endings so I will end up with what I get.

SPOILERS
Whelp. Had one of my first seemingly non-important decisions come back to bite me in the arse. Let a guy that was tied up in the wilderness go. No big deal right? Well a few hours later I go to Navigrad and there are two people being burned alive in a city square. And guess who the fricker is that's setting them on fire? I was pissed.

This. I'll save all that crap for another possible playthrough. I am just enjoying the hell out of this game right now.
Everyone in here talking about skills that I didn't even think about. I upgraded my axii sign to make sure I unlock all the dialogue options. Then the igni (?) sign. Thinking about upgrading my quick attack next.
I think I explored the same cave for about 2 hours last night. Damn silver sword was down to 17% health by the time I got out

Is witcher one big massive map or is it like dragon age where you use a map to go to medium sized locations
Posted on 5/19/15 at 5:52 pm to Macintosh
one big map no zoning I don't think.
For the love of god someone tell me how to switch to the xbow, I can't find the keybind on how do do it I tried the switch attack key but that didn't do it.

Should we start a spoiler thread so people don't have to avoid this one?

I haven't only made it to the second part, but it is multiple very large maps from what I have seen in videos. The map I am on now is huge.

To craft some lotion as a side quest.
I thought I had gotten the hang of fighting last night. Get on tonight, am getting my arse kicked by drowners. More than 2 drowners at a time and I'm dead
