Say what you want, the super military bro crowd and casual gamers influenced the series to become more and more unrealistic and stupid with each iteration, essentially becoming a multiplayer expansion by default. What was a series that started with WW2 jumped all the way into some bullshite that was essentially metal gear for dummies because of this unrealistic expectation from the FPS crowd to have something NEW and FLASHIER. Which doesn’t really surprise me since Activision/Blizzard are the publishers and parent companies to the developers.
You won’t see CoD come back dude. They’re too far gone in the corporate world for that to happen.
