I just made a character and then maxed him out pretty quickly using the Oghma Infinitum glitch just for fun... Was awesome to have 64 perks to spend at once

on the PC you can go to a room with every item in the game to loot, and all the skill tables.

Dang work is keeping me from my new character.
I've been running with a pure mage but I am getting tired of being one hit pwned by Melee types and a damn archer was just about one hitting me.
I think I will make some light armor because the robes aint cuttin it.
Leveling destruction seems like it is taking much longer than one handed took me.
As for the companion chatter on the last page, it is a bit of a pain in the arse that companions don't level with you. They do scale with your level the first time you meet them.
I haven't used a companion but I might hire a tank to take some damage off my mage.

I just ran into this guy as well. I was heading to some ruins as part of the imperial quest and fricking Krosis started lobbing fireballs at me from the top of the mountain.
I finally killed him on my 8th attempt and even when I changed the settings (i know, i know),
I had to use every potion, and I completely drained my staff of magnus. Once I got his health down to half, I had to keep hiding behind the rocks in order to let my magicka recharge.

If you want a Pure Mage - Conj/Destr/Alter
If you want a battlemage - Conj/Destr/Heavy Armor
I really like conjuration obviously.

My melee character can't even touch Krosis. I can't get to him and he just fireballs me to death. I didnt have any trouble with him on my ranged character though.

I'm going to check out this Krosis a-hole when I get home. I've heard sneak and shooting him with arrows is an easy win or sneak damage with the assassins perk and gloves to double to 30x damage.

I had no idea what I was in for the first time I ran into Krosis. Probably one of the only parts of the game I found to be truly challenging.

I beat him with my melee character the first try but it took like 3 berserk potions and many many many health and stamina potions

Guys, for Krosis, resist fire enchantments and potions are your friends. Even minimal enchanting skill can make a ring, necklace, and boots with resist fire. Add a potion, and you have 60-100% resistance against his staff.
Entering Azuras star to kill the daedra in it will be similarly difficult without fire resistance.

I use the GUSS FRA BAH shout and it calms them down so they stop attacking me.

I fought Krosis after I made my dragon armor. He really was a cake walk.

I used the whirlwind sprint shout for Azura's Star to get right up in the guy's face. Didn't even have to bother with any of his minions.

I had flawless dwaeven armor with a flawless dwarven greatsword that I had made literally 3 minutes before I fought krosis. I love the way dwemer armor and weapons look
