Decided to use an incense since it's pretty slow going today...just nabbed a cp480 Tauros!

I've used incense twice. Got my only bellsprout from it.

Just got a cp261 Nidorina. Now I have both male and female!
ETA: Add a cp261 Staryu as well...but it's fricking TINY.

Not a chance. There are like 30 pokestops within a kilometer of my hotel. I had 275 pokeballs after my first day...so I was intentionally threw away about 50 to the side while catching pokemon so that I could actually get other items from pokestops.

Why don't you just go into your items and delete them that way. A lot less time consuming.
The GPS is so screwy right now. It has me about 3 blocks from where I actually am. Every now and then it tries to correct, and I've racked up 0.6 miles for egg incubation just sitting on my arse.

I just spent 2 hours walking around... and still couldn't find what I believe is a Tirtouga around my work, so angry with myself right now.
That being said, I'm now at 4.1k for a 5.0k egg - and I'm working on a 10k one as well.
Also hatched a 2k, which ended up being nothing

I am only through page 20 of this thread. A couple things are not clear to me and I know nothing about pokemon. Should I level up then evolve? What is an evee and why is it special?

I found like 5 eggs on my ride home from work yesterday. Funny part is, it's only a 10 min drive 
I don't think it calculates distance the same for incubating if you're driving.
I drove from work, straight home and it said I only traveled .4 KM.
I live at least 3 miles from my office. I wonder if it fractions distance off if you are travelling over a certain speed.

I wouldn't. I would save your Pokemon with the best CP, health and attacking traits and trade the others of that type in for candy. Then evolve that one. It's really a waste to power up a bunch.
