They don't have to be afraid of Bjergsen to respect his champs.
Im no expert, but if I were building a game plan, giving the other teams best player champ options wouldn't be one of them I guess.

You don't have to use all the bans on Bjerg, or on Sven. You can also decide to counter pick mid.
If you think NA is the gold standard of mid-laners, I don't know what to tell you.
Bjerg is good, but he isn't feared by the other world class mids like he is in NA. And you can develop a sophisticated game-plan on how you want to handle the pick and bans. I'm just suggesting that instead of trying to ban out Bjerg (who has a massive champ pool), you may want to focus on an easier tactic.... like killing Sven at champ select.
A good analogy is taking away the run in football and making the QB beat you.
Or letting Iverson or Jordan score all the points they want, but you're able to beat them with teamwork.
An effective jungler snowballing bot lane or a helping to accelerate a split push top, or even camping mid that got a priority pick can easily be successful if you've forced Sven into being ineffective with champ select.
In addition, banning out sven isn't somehow going to turn Bjergsen into some god-mode carry. Faker/Crown/others are more than capable of laning against Bjergsen.
This isn't NA. It's worlds.

Inven's just spouting bullshite. It wasn't even a member of TSM's org that caused the leak and the guy who was leaking them had more scrims than just SKT vs. TSM and was asking for money in return for giving them to other teams. He just used the SKT-TSM scrims as his advertisement platform. Then they turn around and blame TSM for something Weldon got fired from TSM for. Turns out Inven's as stupid as Reddit.

quote:Seriously doubt that ever comes into play in terms of jungle picks. Very very few teams will are willing to wait until the 2nd rotation to pick a jungler in this meta. TSM has prioritized picking their jungler early for a while now.
You do realize they have 5 bans now, right?

Well, Weldon did represent TSM at the time. Same as the officers that stomped the guy on the United flight. The company is the one that has the tarnished reputation.
However, I don't think Weldon was wrong.
Inven mouth breathers can believe whatever they want.

Reddit actually went pretty ham on Inven about this. I was impressed. Turns out Weldon was completely right about the psycho-level of nationalism.
It sucks because Inven can be REALLY funny at times, but damn they can be more toxic than Reddit ever thought about being.

quote:True, but at the very start of the video he made the disclaimer that they were his own personal thoughts and that TSM wasn't involved in any way whatsoever, but obviously I'm not surprised that that's one of the things conveniently forgotten. It's really cool seeing Weldon stick up for TSM so hard even though their business relationship has come to an end.

Weldon's always been a stand up dude. And he's been pretty successful everywhere he's been.
I mean, if you can get CLG to not choke, that's a goddamned miracle worker.
Let's see what he can do with G2.
Edit: I want to hear another Likrit speech.

quote:Unfortunately this won't be happening. Gambit beat them out in the Russian league. Old coots like me are all excited because Diamondprox and Edward are still on the team. It's a major throwback to see them on the Worlds stage again.

Gambit beat them out because they took their 2 best players, PVPStejos top lane and Kira the mid laner.
Likkrit stayed and they were one of the worst teams.

Also unless memory fails me they changed Worlds where now the #3 seeds have to compete in the play in stage and I don't believe that's how it was before.
So say C9 wins Gauntlet they still have to advance through the play in stage at Worlds to get to groups, so does the CN, EU, LMS 3 seeds.

I have a teammate on my CWL CoC's team that was a member of the Season 1 World's runner up. So, he's legit old school.

Tired of seeing "TSM you're not welcome in Korea for boot camp" when a Korean team cheated vs TSM in season 2.
Reddit firing back at Inven. This is getting spicy.

I was reading about how to qualify and advance in worlds yesterday and I found that chart showing this. I think you're right. The #3s have a round robin play in stage to go through, unless I looked at it wrong.
ETA: Also, question. Why would TSM be a #2 in their groups as the NA champs? I can't find the seeding anywhere.

Determined by MSI performance, NA didn't get out of groups so they don't get a 1 seed at Worlds.
