I always have issues playing Nasus or Tryn when the team can't get lanes pushed out or they insist on constantly picking bad fights and losing. Makes it near impossible to push the lane I'm in.
Also, what is priority in these situations? I find myself with a choice between letting a big wave or two go, and tp'ing into a fight where the tp ward(s) aren't in prime position or I feel like the advantage (or lack thereof) of my tp isn't worth the experience, gold and lane pressure I'll miss out on.
Normally I'd say, frick it, I know I need to stay, but 90% of the time I'm getting bitched at for not tp'ing into a forced fight that we shouldn't be fighting.
What should I be doing in these situations as someone like Nasus or Tryn?

Depends on the situation. If your team keeps fighting no matter what you say, then you should just fight with them, so it's at least 5v5. Unless you are strong enough to split and get major objectives, even if the enemy team sends people to stop you.

Jungle Khazix is pretty fun.
Get out to a 7-1-3 start, but the mid Fizz has internet issues and has 81 cs at 32min. This is just plain sad.
Go on 8 game win streak. Now on 7 game losing streak. You would think that just one game would work out for me?
Next game: both our top and support DC at 10min. Wtf.
Annnnddd: team picks all losing lanes when i first pick jungle jax. everyone whining for ganks.
and the top cho rushed a zzrot in a nasus lane... you can't make this stuff up.

We had a 1/10 bot lane at like 15 mins last night.

ETA: Looked like he picked it accidentally and they tried to remake. But then they re-pick all of the same champs. I'm thinking they disallowed the remake.

Can't even play normals anymore.
Enemies are plat V adc mains and Gold yas mains. Meanwhile we get a nocturne who doesn't know how to use his ult
Lately it's either stomp hard or get stomped hard. Rarely have close games anymore

180 cs at just under 16 mins.
I just want to try new champs and try some things out. Nearly impossible to learn anything playing people entire tiers above you that play their one trick pony mains. All while spamming their mastery and talking shite.

I have one I used solely to play with friends who were new to the game.
At some point I'd feel like I'd be guilty of doing what I'm complaining about.
I may give it a try and see if it's enjoyable.
