This meta is going to heavily favor TSM. All of these changes are going to force more teamfights over objectives instead of trading objectives for towers. We back to season 3 boys!

Team refuses to group. Lose with a 7k gold lead. #Justudyrthings #Opendagatez

Finally won 3 games later it only took having a 18k gold lead

People don't seem to understand how to play around their comp or establish any win conditions for themselves. You can have 3-4 obvious late game champions on your team and people are wanting to skirmish in unwarded parts of the map and fight 1v3 before 20 mins.

Played a game as Kog last night where my support thresh decides to roam after we help our jungle with gromp. Now I'm 1v2 at level 1 against a Cait and Nami. I proceed to get bitched at because I'm behind in farm.

2nd game as kog, the enemy rengar was going hard for me in team fights and under towers (as he should). But when the "!" pops up because of the invis reng ult, my team proceeds to RUN AWAY FROM ME, leaving me to get 2 shotted. This happened 8 times until finally on the last fight they actually peeled and zoned him away from me. I got a Quadra Kill in that fight. We wound up winning the game (thanks to the 18/2 WW), so no harm no foul, but it was pretty frustrating early on.

I'm telling you, the macro game/understanding just isn't there for a lot of people. Players just want to play their champs early like they have 6 items and are level 18 making LCS plays. There's no patience.

ETA: Having said that, Kog is stupid. Once you hit Guinsoo's and Hurricane, you're set. Only thing that can really stop you is a high damage/burst assassin or a situation where your team rarely groups.

Bunch of PBE changes, but one I noticed in particular:

Ziggs "E", Satchel Charge, now destroys turrets if they are below 25.27.5/30/32.5/35% HP.

Also noticed the big changes to Brand. Lower damage and mana costs, but ult now includes a slow to affected targets.

Annie ult also changed dramatically.

This game is starting to get more frustrating than fun.

People just can't play at a basic level.

I'm positioning about as far back as one can in team fights as an adc and play as safely as possible and people are still just walking right up to me uncontested in every single fight. I'll get one kill (maybe 2 if my kog passive hits someone low), but we wind up getting aced every single time.

Meanwhile, teammates are fighting tanks and blowing CC on the 4 item ammumu.

Getting 4 and 5 man dove in the bot lane every 5 minutes, and somehow we get zero towers in other lanes and no objectives.

I never thought I'd see the day where I seriously considered giving up on league, but I'm starting to get there. Very frustrating.

ETA: Loving Kog, but he's just too immobile considering the lack of peel that's been occurring. May start playing Tristana again.

Are there any old blogs or YouTube videos that actually explain the fundamentals of the game..like peeling, skirmishing and team fights with composition examples?

I don't mean basics like casing and warding but really the larger macro like simple objectives and timing on grabbing them/setting up for them?

How are news supposed to really learn because just playing isn't good enough really.

It never felt this way in season 4 & 5. You win some you lose, it was fine.

Season 6 started, and it's been nothing but a pain in the arse. Players not knowing their power spike, not playing their champion within the role properly at all, refusing to adapt after a couple deaths early, diving multiple enemies when it's blatantly not advantageous to do so, etc...

It's become a real shite show. It's basically just a slow, painful death from beginning to end in most games. Try to be positive, all you get is "STFU, I have more kills than you". Meanwhile they have 10 deaths.

It never used to be this way. Or at least it wasn't the norm. Now 9 out of every 10 games it's ff @ 20 for one side or the other. Very few good games anymore.

I'm not one of those people who thinks I should be Gold or claim to be in elo hell. At this point I just want to have fun, but it's becoming impossible with the way other players play the game.

Personally I liked to watch champion tutorials on youtube when I first started learning a champion. That and watching different streamers, you can learn a hell of a lot.

Team composition while playing by yourself with strangers isn't something you can really control. But people can control how the play the game based on the team that is picked before you even get onto The Rift.

Depending on the situation, I typically say:

1) Nexus
2) Inhib
3) Towers
4) Baron
5) Dragon
6) Buffs

3, 4 & 5 are honestly interchangeable depending on situation. After successful team fights (2-3)kills, I feel like it's most efficient to get whatever tower you are closest to (if the fight was in lane), then straight to Baron/Dragon depending on situation.

Sometimes you aren't near a tower, so you can go straight for the Baron/Dragon objective. It all depends on the situation really and where you are on the map.

Sometimes, taking a tower or Dragon/Baron isn't feasible or too risky. That's okay. Steal a buff, clear wards, ward the enemy jungle, push a lane, do something. There is always an advantage a team can give itself after winning a big teamfight. Objectives, vision, vision denial, some advantage is there to be taken.

Another thing I notice that happens a lot is bad engages, especially when you have a number disadvantage. Teammate may be split pushing or farming a wave so it doesn't push into your base, etc... and maybe another teammate backed to buy. People will still fight team fights down 2 players, then get mad when they lose and flame the others for not being there. In my mind, some of the most important decisions you can make in league, are the ones you decide to say NO on.

I'm not some bastion of league knowledge (far from it), and my opinion(s) can probably be considered subjective, but I feel like I have a decent enough grasp of the game to not ruin it for my team.

You don't have to be some mechanical god or some league super genius to be good at this game.

1) Learn to farm/last hit properly
2) Don't die a lot
3) Map awareness

If you can be even halfway decent at those 3 things, you're already better than a great majority of league players.

Nice!

4/21 PBE updates.

Soraka nerfed and grievous wounds now affects ALL healing, not just self healing.

He performed better in the playoffs, but I think this is a net positive for TSM. He's just mechanically too far behind to be of any use on a team that he doesn't have complete control on. Picaboo is still without a team. If we get him I'll fill every jar in College Station, Texas.

I think it's the influx of new players hitting ranked. For some dumbass reason Riot places new players who have never played ranked before in the Silver 3-4 elo range right from the start, so even when they get dumpstered in placements, they still get placed silver 5. With the new demotion protection, you end up with a shite ton of people in Silver 5 who have no fricking clue about macro game or anything advanced with only basic mechanical skill. That's why games in Silver have gone to absolute shite. In my opinion if I were going to build a team, I would look to Bronze 1 players before Silver 5 players because they would at least have been around a year longer and have more experience in learning the macro game. Low Silver is the noob zone.

I know this 100% for a fact because I just placed my smurf. I have two very basic shitty rune pages and I think 16 champions. 3 of which I actually play. I got absolutely destroyed in placements and went 3-7 and was placed Silver 5. Now match that with my main that ended last season Gold 5, went 7-3 in placements, and was placed Bronze 3. GG Riot.
