League client Alpha leak

Looks pretty sweet. PBE tech test next week. It is a single page Chromium app.

quote:

As we're getting closer to opening up sign-ups for the League client update alpha test, we're conducting internal testing so we're prepped for players to participate in the alpha. This required use of a live, public environment, and we knew there was a chance of it being prematurely discovered. That's okay, and we'll be sharing much more context on the League client update and its alpha test as we get closer to the alpha's start, including some info on the PBE boards in the next week or so in regards to an upcoming tech test.

How much downtime do you think there will be after the official release on live?

The sixth place LCK team just steam rolled a tournament featuring two top LPL teams and NA's second place team. Rest of the world fricked, Korea stacked

To be fair, they replaced the main reason they were underperforming with someone who went nuts in the tourney. Bengi is probably permabenched now.

Well that is true, and there are still some team that could make some noise. Still though it seems unlikely that any non-Koreans will take worlds.

I've said it all split. I thoroughly expect SKT to roll the summer split. They took the spring split off last season, too.

So nothings changed? When are Koreans not favored to win?

Well at least there was a chance that Korea would only get one (ROX) or two (JAG) dominant teams into Worlds. Since it seems SKT may have resolved their Jungler issue, you can go ahead and pencil them in to curb-stomping the West.

LPL is still shite at international events.

Anyone else tired of this bullshite where a player lets all the bans and 90% of the picks go through, then doesn't pick their champ?

shite is getting old.

LPL is pure hype. China has never been any better than NA or EU. Every now and then they'll have one team that's good enough to make noise at worlds, but that's it. The region as a whole is just like the rest of the world.

Dcrews and I lost a game tonight where I started 16-0. I believe that means that dcrews is literally impossible to carry. I can't think of any other logical explanation.

I've had way too many of those games this season. I think a lot of it has to do with massive death timers and weak towers that do no damage.

Problem was, Zed kept walking right up to me and killing me...every single team fight. I had 11 deaths because of it, 9 of them were from Zed. While I don't complain about lack of peel much, I would at least expect the lack of peel to mean everyone else is blasting their carries.

That wasn't the case. Problem was too that shen wasn't tanking any damage and let his lane opponent get something like 640 farm before we even hit 60 mins.

I am trying to figure out if I could have positioned better, but as Varus, I was already pretty far back poking away with my Q.

Gonna critique your varus build a little.

You were against a zed. Get a qss/scimitar, instead of the ghostblade.

You had zero crit%, and zero attack speed items(except the Ghostbusters active)

You really don't build crit on varus it's AD and armor pen. Ghostblade is probably one of the best items on him. If anything I would have dropped steraks and maw for BT and scimitar.

Not sure why I didn't build that.

I was goofing around in normals with the armor pen build on varus and it was working pretty well, so I tried it in ranked. Was putting out good amounts of damage, but we were engaging at the wrong times and before we could lay down any poke damage.

I was building him pretty much as a mid Varus for the poke damage. I think the build is extremely viable. Once I made the decision to go manamune, there was no reason to grab IE for the crit or something for att spd, as the ghostblade synergizes better (imo) with a manamune build.

I agree on the ghostblade. My Q was chunking people and I liked having the armor pen against a Iceborn on Ez.

The Maw I was hesitant on, but the Kayle was so heavily farmed and doling out so much damage, I thought it might be nice to have.

In hindsight, the biggest blunder was not having the QSS. I can't even tell you why I didn't build it.

Not about going full crit, but getting any of the attack speed items gives crit also.

I'm no varus guru or anything. Just my thoughts

Where you playing Varus mid?

I've been meaning to mess around with a few MM mid lane - Varus, Kog, Corki.
