because you want a tangible measure of improvement.
of course you want to win, but you're going to lose a lot of games you shouldn't, so if thats the only reason you play ranked youre going to get pissed.
Played ranked makes you a better player than playing normals.
ofc, I'm a hypocrite because I generally ignore ranked until the last 2 weeks of the season and I scramble trying to get the goodies
I'm ahead of the curve this season though... I did my placements before summer

I'm generally pretty calm throughout the entire game regardless of how it goes. I will be honest, I have voiced my frustrations in the chat after the game is over and exited.
I'm talking about my adc having bad positioning or a support engaging at bad times. I simply give them a friendly "Hey, this next time, let's position ourselves a little further back" or "Let's be a little more aggressive in lane against these two guys"
I'm very rarely, if ever toxic in game. I try to be constructive and help people learn (as I expect them to do the same with me).
If someone is feeding their lane hard, of course I'm pissed. But I simply tell them "So and So, play a little more conservatively and we will come help or win our lane and carry"
Sometimes if you have a shitty matchup and are losing lane hard, just try to breakeven for a bit and let the other lanes carry.

I don't put in the number of games/hours to be able to grind.

I agree. Losing is part of the game. I don't mind losing. However, the game becomes less enjoyable when one bad apple intentionally ruins it for everyone else (intentionally afk'ing, intentionally troll picking, feeding a lane an obscene amount of kills early so that it's nearly impossible to kill that champ.)
It's essentially like playing 5v5 basketball and one dude on your team throws the ball as far as he can away from the court when he gets a pass, then laughs about and calls you a dickhead for being mad over a game.

I guess I am just too competitive. Having fun is important but if I have someone on my team who doesn't care about winning then I don't want them on my team. When I just want to have fun and mess around I play normals.

I can't understand for the life of me why people go into ranked to play a champ for the first time, try a champ in an unconventional role for the first time, etc...
If you want to do all that, fine. But don't go into ranked with that bs. Also don't go into ranked if you can only play 1 or 2 lanes. Makes no damn sense.

That's why I laugh at people who get mad for people playing unconventional stuff in norms

I've learned not to question anything I see anymore, because more times than not, these people know what they're doing

I can only realistically play Top, ADC and I play ranked all the time lately
