Someone explain to me the supply lines.
I have settlement A.
I take settler from A and send to B.
Then I go to settlement B.
I take settler from B and send them to C.
I then go to C.
I send settler from C back to A?
Is that how it works?

No, once settlement C is connected to B, A,B and C will all share the same resources.

Two points in cap collector and two in ammo scrounger is paying off handily.
Killed the ugly arse mofo in Boston Commons with ease. Companions are pretty kick arse if you upgrade their weapon(giving them plenty of ammo) and putting them in a power armor suit.

Made some progress this weekend...
Posted on 11/23/15 at 8:28 am to Devious
Played a few hours last night and made some progress.
I tried to do some settlement building yesterday, but it got annoying and I stopped. I think I just need to spend a long time on it. It isn't so much the walking around aspect that is annoying. It's the view. It is so hard to see and place things properly.
As far as gameplay, I found the Brotherhood of Steel and slaughtered some enemies. I play sneaky and snipe often. Trying to get a silencer for my pistol. It always seems like I pick up a lot of supplies, but they vanish so quickly.

Go do the road to freedom quest. There is a legendary silenced 10mm pistol with increased VATS hit chance and each shot costs 25% less in VATS. You can spam like 10-12 shots easy.

I put 1 in scrounger early. Have over 3000 38 and 45, and at least 1000 of everything else. It's so awesome
Didn't get cap collector and I still have 20k since I sell so much. wasted 2 points on the perk that gets you better prices though. Prices aren't that much better

I read that you just have to give them 1 round and its unlimited

Ya, that's the cap collector perk. The prices are much better for me. Fusion cores used to be over 700 each, now they're only 374. I don't buy of course because I have plenty, but still.
Seems like I'm getting double on some of the items I'm selling. Pre-war money was worth 3, now I can get 8 for it for example.

My companions will never use the armor or weapon I give them. Cait only had a black baseball bat. I gave her a pipe gun with a .38 round and all of a sudden she had a double barrel shotgun. Whatever.

That's for settlers. Your companions actually need enough ammo. The only unlimited weapon they have is their default weapon, which sux later in the game.

Ya, I love that gun. It's great for taking out mofos without their friends knowing.

Are you equipping it after you give it to them? On the XBone, you just press Y on the piece of armor.

Press Y (on XBone, probably triangle on ps4) while trading in their menu to equip weapons/armor

I have rank 3 in sneak, picked up the sneak bobble head in Dunwich Borers (10% harder to detect), all light weight combat armor and run this gun when clearing buildings. Lots of quiet kills.

I think that goes back a few pages ago. Using your supplies directly from the crafting/building menu only uses the 1 item you need for that build, then destroys the other components of the junk item.
Something with Nucleur material, gold, glass, and a screw, for example, will all be gone after the screw is used. So you're probably destroying half the junk you collect.
You have to physically drop all the complex items and scrap them while highlighted to secure all its components.
I'ts a stupid feature that needs to be fixed with the first patch.
