I just figured out scrapping game changer. As far as ghouls, I have more success with my machete. Bring Cogsworth to distract them.

Also, how bullshite is it that you can't mod 99% of melee weapons until you hit blacksmith 2?

I had to do the same. Was at either 2 or 3 endurance and had to up it one.
Also, is anyone pretty much ignoring the power armor? I've played about 10 hours (all today), have 3 of them lying around Sanctuary/Red Rocket, and I've really only used them for that Deathclaw fight.

first one I got ran out of juice and is sitting at that red rocket. It would have been nice to have clearing out the first few raider groups. I still haven't found anymore fuel things. I have 50 fuel cells but apparently that's not the same thing.

My wife has been "hogging" my computer the last two nights so I'm actually only 2 hours in. Just got the power armor. Took on that death claw and died. My problem was I couldn't tell how much health I had left, mainly because I was watching the stats on the armor.
