Yeah, I've only used the armor once after the intro. And I ran out of battery. Underwater. Very, very, very deep underwater 
Haven't seen a need for it since especially with the underwater breathing perk and radiation suit.

I've only used the power armor the one time.n I have lots of it laying around at the settlements.
Level 25 and still rocking my vault suit. I get some funny reactions from a lot of the NPCs. I did mod some rediculously overpowered weapons though, so that helps.

I had a bit of a tough time killing Kellogg and power armor is not a bad idea. I don't use my power armor much, just when I get stuck in a difficult spot.

Honestly I thought finding fusion cores was going to be harder than it is. I have tons of them now and am planning to use the armor more.

i have over 80 fusion cores. i havent used power armor one time lol (outside of the beginning in concord)

I finally found a combat shotgun. Modded my regularly used weapons and have been rolling. Building a good ammo stash too.

I too have 80 cores without buying any.
Some of the reviews made it sound like cores were hard to find. Main reason I held back. Also hate the lighting. You would think a LAMP on the helmet would be brighter than the glow of the pip boy.
Folks, some of us don't want the game spoiled no matter how simplistic you think the plot is, HUSH!

Kellogg was a breeze to beat. I loaded up on quality junk at Ft. Hagan too. I was having trouble with copper but now I have a decent supply.

I just ran with my combat rifle. Didn't even bother with my Fat Man. Loaded up on synth armor for my settlers while I was there too. I've almost got all of the bobble heads. Figured I'd get those out of the way.

I didn't have any good weapons. I just had to nade the frick out of him and shotgun him in the face while Valentine smashed his face with a shock stick
