You definitely can change recruits ratings - not sure why anyone would want to since it basically defeats the purpose of the recruiting mini game, but yeah it’s there.
You still can’t edit their freaking number tho - at least you can change their name but FFS.

If you can change names and ratings then you could recruit "real" players.
That's what I used to do in the old game in year 1. I would sign a bunch of shitty 1 stars that I knew would commit to me at the positions of guys State actually signed, then I would change names and ratings to match the real players.

Hope it's true that we can change ratings. There are way too many high ratings. Tons of generated recruits with 99 acceleration and change of direction ratings. I lower ratings, not increase them.

Can confirm recruited players ratings are editable. Still no numbers though.

It seems like EA is struggling to implement the edit numbers option because they allow for duplicate numbers

This has been my thought all along. I don't know much about video game programming (ok...I don't know anything) but it seems they could basically implement a Defense roster and an Offense roster. Have all numbers 0-99 available for each roster and set it such that you can't have multiple of the same number on offense or on defense.
On a somewhat related note, I was on kickoff coverage recently and two players wearing the same number were on the field at the same time. This is obviously not allowed in real life and is something I don't really care about in the video game, just thought it was funny.

Not being able to change numbers is still so annoying. I just want to give my five star QBs, RBs, WRs numbers that they would actually wear. I have an absolute stud QB wearing 19

Thank you EA for allowing us to mass sub again. It sucked having to manually substitute each position when you're blowing a team out.

When picking a play why are my players red in formation pick? I turn off wear and tear but I don’t get why they are outlined in red

Yeah I noticed that too. Looks like a visual bug and not anything to worry about. Some of my players started to come off of red in my second game after turning it off.

So, apparently my DC got hired away from me. And another DC was hired for me. And he has an F grade. I'm guessing this won't have an affect unless I plan on simming, correct?

It may impact your “Coach Prestige” in recruiting but tbh I’ve found the whole my school system to be very inconsistent.
Example: I’ve been at LSU for 10 years and every 3 years my contract gets down to 1 year left and my stability goes to a B- or so. Just seems like a weird thing to happen. (It also factors in your assistants but to a lesser degree)

I finally won my first Natty in Dynasty. I took Coastal Carolina to the Semi Finals twice and lost both times before I jumped ship to Bama.
