I had this problem in CoD this year. Failed a mission at least twice because I kept shooting my teammates.

Talk to me about everyone's favorite guns. I'm level 3 in assault, medic, and scout so pretty much can get anything. Model 10A shotgun or whatever seems like the obvious best gun for assault. Really asking about favorite snipers since they're all the same damage/accuracy for the most part. Curious if there is a consensus best option

The first batch of BFs had great campaigns with the bots.

This gun needs to be adjusted. The range I get killed with this gun is ridiculous.

What is the deal with the guns in this game? I really like the class customization in COD. On BF1, i can't figure out what guns i can use, how to add attachments, and it seems that my gun loadout changes, depending on what faction i'm selected as during multiplayer.

I don't understand why xbone games have to be so damned user unfriendly. Granted, i don't play xbox as much as i used to, but there should be some sort of learning curve. And whatever happened to matching players to their skill level with other opponents?

Haven't played this game, but speaking from experience on past BF games, there have been some guns, at least in BF3, that you could only use depending on what side you were assigned to. I'm assuming that this would especially be the case with a period centric game like BF1. Like in WWII games, the germans weren't using thompsons. This might be leading to your confusion with the attachments because this got me a lot on BF3. I'd unlock something, attach it, but the next match I couldn't find it........because it wasn't a weapon I could use with that faction.

There are no faction based weapon locks. If you like your weapon, you can keep it!

I don't know either. The UI is very user friendly. There are no weapon attachments besides the bayonet. You can change the zoom and skins, but no attachments. There are generally 2 level 0 guns for each class you can choose from. Every gun you "purchase" is available for all armies.

I went to the subreddit and didn't see this mentioned once in all the update talk, so I'm guessing it's welcomed and/or not as big of a deal that I initially thought, but....

Why in the world did they add so much for the attacking side in Operations? I really can't understand it. Obviously I'm not a big sample size but for the most part it seemed to me that Defending and Attacking each won a fair amount in all the operations games I have played. Certainly never caused me to think that the attackers were at a big disadvantage and it was way harder to win

Now with the attacking side getting 250 "tickets" or whatever it's called for each batallian, I don't see how you could possibly lose when on the offensive.

I played 4 Operations games today after the update and Attacking won every single time. The last game I played, I was attacking and the other team was doing a pretty damn good job at not letting us take a sector (I'm pretty confident they would have won had the game been played last night). My team won with around 100 tickets still left and we still had a whole other batallian not used yet

I've won multiple as defense tonight. The Behemoth is just a piñata now it's basically worthless. I don't mind the ticket increase. The LMG's are basically railguns now. They overcompensated way too much on them.

I just realized that I was playing on 40 man Operations. The more I think about it, the update makes more sense if you're thinking of it from a 64 player perspective

I would say the attacking side in 64 player ops was winning in about 10% of the games I played.

I've officially given up on BF 1 because i suck too bad. I can't see the opponents, before i get shot up. Then i can't hit anything to save my life.

I thought this when I first switched over to BF from COD, but you need to be diligent and it will eventually pay off with a better gaming experience. Things to know:
- You can't be a solo superhero like in COD
- Get off the KD ratio obsession. More objective/teamwork based
- Be prepared to die. No more 10-0 killstreaks
- Your patience will pay off. Can't run straight into a fire fight.
- Find something you like to do and master it.
- Much more enjoyable playing with friends in a squad
- Know the limits of your loadout/guns

The game is hard which makes it more enjoyable to me. I find myself getting much less frustrated when I die rather than when I played COD. And I'm a consistent >2.00 kd in CODs.

Now it's nearly impossible to lose unless the attacking force is made up mostly of snipers. I played it for much of the afternoon and early evening yesterday. I was on the defensive every single time and every single time the attacking force rolled through every single map without having to use more than one battalion.
