I can't put this god damn game down. It's amazing. 64 player Operations game mode is unbelievable.

That final level was so badass over London.

Totalbiscuit a pretty popular youtuber panned the campaign. I disagree with his assessment that it isn't worth playing. The developers clearly tried to many different facets of the war rather than trench warfare (wish there was more trench warfare actually), and what you send up with is a campaign that has you doing a lot of different things in places that look very different from one another.
The problem that I have is that I realized it's almost entirely based on the maps available in multiplayer. The "war stories" were a cheap easy attempt to tie it all together into a cohesive whole, but the stories are too short to really get invested in any of the characters.
At least with CoD, you get a campaign that is on par with Gears of War or Halo. The main Battlefield franchise has never had good campaigns being that they only started making them in the first place as a response to CoD, but I hate using that as an excuse. I still want to play a WW1 shooter with a lengthy, meaningful single player (Battlefield 1 is about 4-5 hours long) even if I never play through it more than once. You just get the feeling that CoD's multiplayer is based off of ideas for the campaign yet Battlefield designs the multiplayer then develops single player almost as an afterthought.

I may have to break down and purchase this on PS4/Xbox One even though I've already put 14 hours on PC. PC has a memory leak or something and my disk usage keeps shooting to 100%, making the game and menus freeze for several seconds at random times.

Went 3-1 on operations last night. Got hung up on one sector capture where the entire opposing team donned gas masks and locked down a bunker.

It's a legitimate strategy!!
I really have enjoyed the campaign. I agree with Xero that somemore trench warfare would have been nice, but I can just play that opening sequence over and over.

They only have it if they are down a certain amount. I've had plenty of games where it never spawns.

Could someone help me figure out what exactly I'm doing in Operations?
- What is the main objective?
- What is the meter at the top of the screen showing (has a number from 0-150)?
- What is a "sector"?
- How do you actually win?

Capture both A & B at the same time

I believe that is the number of reinforcements you have until the game ends

Sector is the area on the map you are trying to take. I believe operations has 5-6 sectors.

How do you actually win?
Take all sectors. Or defend and prevent capture

Played it for the first time yesterday. That game mode was a blast but hard AF without the airship.

Anyone having trouble connecting to Operations today? Keep getting server disconnect message; other game modes work fine.
