Pure fun is the best description. The story mode (ala Gameboy Advance) is a great addition. They actually let you import those characters to the Gamecube version.

Pyra/Mythra is a great add to Smash.

I never played Skyward Sword
I bought Breath of the Wild but could not get into it. Not my cup of tee. I prefer more linear Zelda games, the open world concept was just too much. I don't spend a lot of time playing games, so I didn't have the patience for the open world concept. Maybe I will give it another go another time.
