Have you tried yanking your pizzle?

Once you get some levels, perks, etc. combat becomes much easier.
And if you want easy mode, just craft a bunch of poison, put it on arrows/bolts, and snipe.

Must have gotten gypped out of the experience.
I dont think calling them roma is DEI really. Plus they make up for it with the jew stuff later.

I just got this for PS5 and find it pretty challenging. I die a lot and admit I’m not good at the combat mechanics. I’m not a big fan of them. Very frustrating and difficult to pull off. Anyone else?
Practice until you can beat the dude at the gypsy camp, and he will teach you Masterstrike which is pretty much all you need to beat the game.
It seems like Henry has a higher baseline skill level in KCD2 than he did in the first game which does make sense from a story perspective. It didn't feel like it took me nearly as long to get good in combat. Fighting 1v1 feels excellent. Fighting multiple enemies at a time is still a weak point. Sort of reminds me of playing a handicap match in a wrestling game, and you're constantly having to press a button to shift your target to the closest enemy.
This game has some jank and some frustrating elements, but it has a heart that is rare in modern games.
The open world is quite possibly the most immersive I have ever seen. It's sort of like what Todd Howard wanted to make when he made Oblivion.
The game is also chock full of memorable NPCs with distinct personalities which is something the first game somewhat lacked, feeling rather dry.

Finally picked up the deluxe edition on sale and hopped on Sunday. This game has stolen me from Oblivion remake and Expedition 33 for now.
I got absolutely hooked and am enjoying the questlines with the blacksmith and Miller.
Combat is taking a while to get used. I used a warhammer on KCD1 but swords seem to be better on this one with master strikes only being on them but that's fine. I still struggle keeping my stamina managed against multiple enemies.
The world is awesome. I get lost in it and completely understand all the love this game gets.

New patch and DLC to drop tomorrow.
Adds horse races, archery horse races, a new quest, and shield painting. This is apparently going to be the smallest DLC, with the next few being much larger.
On my hardcore henry play through now. Not having the lil rabbit guy makes stealth so much harder.
They are beefing up the enemies in Trotsky and are nerfing swords a bit.

how does this game compare to Oblivion/Skyrim? Asking because I never played ES until this remaster of Oblivion came out. Have gotten completely sucked into it although the combat leaves a lot to be desired. So far I've done minimal main quest stuff and have been focusing mostly on Dark Brotherhood which all seem pretty easy. Is KC 2 better in terms of combat and difficulty?

Id consider this like a medieval red dead redemption 2.
The combat is more in depth for sure. I like how the NPCs in the cities behave like a more advanced version of what Oblivion did.
Alchemy system is really advanced, as well as the blacksmithing.

As long as you don’t opt to chase after guys there isn’t any.
It’s completely unwoke.

I’m debating on jumping back in after 100+ hours of completing this game. I thought this was game of the year until Clair Obscure 33. Between those two and Khazan, it’s been a very good year

Learn how to make Bane poison to coat your blade. Then go fight Tomcat and learn Masterstrike. Between those two you should be fine. Also I think it’s meant to be hard to teach you that fighting is t always the best solution. You’re a blacksmiths son not Inigo Montoya’s son. Don’t try and sword fight with multiple guys at the beginning of the game. The more you train the better you get at it. Also find some armor.

I didn’t realize this original post was from February. I plan on getting the DLC. I thought that they mainly upgraded the combat for Kuttenberg. Which sucks for me because I just got to Kuttenberg yesterday.

The more i play this game the more i enjoy it. On my second playthrough now and I think it may be more fun the second time through. I missed a lot of side quests and took a different path in the first act in my original playthrough.

If not for 33, this would be game of the year
