This kinda proves my point, these sales used go on for pages and they were fun. Now it's a footnote in a thread

It's been this way since no flash deals, and no new posters that haven't already discovered it. Most of us have the games we want, I spent a ton in my first 3 or 4 sales, but not much anymore.

No flash equals no fun.

I don't think it is just that we "already have everything."

They really haven't discounted many of the recent great games as much as they used to chop them down.

Steam sale sucks now. But we will always remember the GOAT sales. And the one sale to rule them all

I still feel like I did something illegal in purchasing Witcher 3 for $20. That game is easily worth $200.

Every big sale, I get an email from Steam telling me which games I have on my wishlist are on sale, and by how much. I skim the email, I *might* buy a game, and I move on.

When you combine the lack of gamesmanship involved in the old system (voting for dailies and flash sales, having them rotate, waiting until the last day, etc), there's just not much of a reason to post about it anymore, except to ask about a game/series.

Anyone played Jurassic World Evolution? Looks like it's discounted in the sale.

Europe ruined Steam sales.

But 95% of the time, if it's a game I want, I buy on release.

GMG routinely offers games even new releases at discounts. A lot don't like them because there have been accusations of having grey keys.

Yeah The Witcher series is the best deal of the sale. All 3 games + W3 DLC for like $25

That's a lot of hours of entertainment for $25
