Is Cyberpunk 2077 better than GTA?

As a single player game?
I just started playing and Cyberpunk seems like GTA but with a lot more to it. The graphics are amazing, the city is freaking amazing, the story is great. The cyberware, the ability to hack people and equipment and make people blow up, all the different builds you can do...
Seems like Cyberpunk could be the better game.
Wondering how the board feels.

I feel like GTA does a better job of laying out their environments for traversal. The mechanics of the vehicles and the gunplay are largely better. But I think the gun mechanics in both games are not particularly strong. You can make an argument that Cyberpunk gives more versatility in making a build around a specific weapon or fighting style.
In terms of role playing elements, atmosphere, and immersion, I give it to Cyberpunk.
GTA is a better "game". I sank considerable amounts of time into GTA V just enjoying the city that rockstar designed.
However, if you are looking for something that has moderate rpg/character building elements and gives off a cool aura, Cyberpunk is the move.

Cyberpunk still feels like it can grow further. It has core elements of an RPG but the storyline feels linear (albeit I know there’s different endings/outcomes) but there’s more immersion in the open world that is possible. Thinking RDR2 type interactions & mini-games (give us the cybercasino, shooting tournaments in the badlands, etc). It’s an amazing game, but it can get a little repetitive doing the side missions unless you force yourself to take different approaches.
The map feels a little empty outside of Night City, but also can feel a little empty while in it too. What’s the point of going to the bar in the game for a drink if someone with a death wish doesn’t challenge me to a drink off or try to shank me in a bar fight?

As much as I loved Cyberpunk, it’s not on GTA level.

Cyberpunk 2077 has better ideas but GTA is far more refined and delivers on execution much better.
