What? What did I say there that could possibly offend anyone’s feelings? It’s simply a very well thought out position and long form formation of it since most people in this thread didn’t seem to get it from the OP because it’s like too mean or something I guess? It was my attempt to more properly drive home the main message I had for the thread, the future of the video game industry, and Xbox/Microsoft’s place on it and now that place will have ripple out effects and ramifications for those of us who don’t even use it. If you don’t care to engage in the conversation that’s fine, if it’s too long for you to read or be bothered to take in, again that’s fine I don’t think that’s insulting to me as not everyone is going to want to read what’s essentially an essay. However, any be a prick when I wasn’t being one in anyway whatsoever? I didn’t make fun nor call out anyone in specific only anyone who drops on their knees mouth open for any of these companies. Don’t want to engage in the conversation which imo is very important especially if you care about gaming future? No issues here I understand and take no offense. But why just respond to be an a-hole when I made a very clear attempt to apparently address people’s criticisms with me being too mean or whatever and making a very well informed and respectfully laid out attempt at my entire point broken down into mini sections people are welcome to pick apart and argue for or against individually or the entire piece as a whole. I don’t get this need to be a petty count.

Ok dont be surprised when gaming continues to get shittier for all of us then over the next 5-10 years because apparently no one cares and is happy to drop down and suckky suckky. Tbh the best advice you can give anyone is dont be a console gamer next gen get a gaming pc.

Those are not prices that Xbox are actually paying for those games to include them on Game Pass; They are internal estimates on what it would have cost to include the games on Game Pass if they had chosen to do so at the time that the estimates were made.
The majority of games listed there are not and have never been on Game Pass.
Of the games that are currently on Game Pass the costs listed in the article will not have been paid for the inclusion. For instance Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available through Game Pass but it is available because it, like all EA games after a certain period of time from release, has been added to EA Play and there was already a deal in place to have EA Play included through Game Pass. Gotham Knights is currently available but was only added a year after release by which point it would have already been shown to have failed to meet the commercial expectations for it.
The fact that these are internal estimates rather than actual figures is stated clearly in the article in question.

Therefore I don't think xbox users will be happy with it either. Maybe there's a world in the future where we get latency free internet, but it ain't right now.
I'm not interested in sitting at a PC to game. I sit at a PC for work for hours every day. I want a recliner and a controller when I get home. If the only thing MS does is throw out an attractive box with lightly skinned Windows, and access to my significant xbox digital catalog, then I'll be happy.

This is kinda a big point of my contention for me. Xbox is making a big push into not needing an xbox to play their games, but they dont realize not much of their game pass userbase is on pc. Pc people are fiercely loyal to steam rightfully so and are more likely to just buy a new hyped game like starfield for instance there if they want it than pay a monthly fee. They dont get no one wants their shite cloud gaming on their tv people use consoles for a reason.

You do realize that you can build a small form factor PC that could easily fit in a living room and you can still game on a PC with a controller?
Also, when I say portable devices... I am not talking about cloud gaming. Steam decks and other similar products have onboard memory and storage. You download and play your games on them like any PC or current console, no internet required (Unless you are playing an online multiplayer game). There is no input latency from streaming your gameplay through the cloud.

Yes I realize I conflated streaming into this conversation. My point was, I hope xbox doesn't just force a "game pass streaming device" on us and call it an "xbox." For now, I'd still like something with some local horsepower--I'm not terribly familiar with the steam deck...I know it's basically a portable PC, but I don't imagine PC gamers would want it as their ONLY console. Similarly I would expect most Switch owners would have more powerful options as their second devices.

I can understand if you dont like long form content. Not need to a big a count about it, and I never said it makes me smart nor is it the intended effect. Its to ensure my entire point is thoroughly put across so the discussion is based on what I intended and bitches like you dont take me out of context which funny enough is all you people do.
