8-10 is crazy, and almost completely useless.
I don't see how it's useless at all TBH. If I am able to control my visuals at 8-10 and get 15-20 kills a game while only dying a handful of times, that will in turn allow me to be even more precise with my aiming when I drop it down to 5-6. It's faster than others and especially when you are engaged in a battle and someone attempts to boost left or right. Your higher sensitivity will allow you to track them easily not allowing them to escape.

is this worth a shite or what
Yes, as of now it is worth it. It plays SO much better than MCC and nothing has seemed out of the ordinary for me. That could all change once all the working joes and the kids get home from school hop on, but as of now the servers are stable and everything is doing fine.

Just as a point of reference: every Halo Championship Series professional is on a 3-4 sensitivity (and they train on 3-4 sensitivity).

I attempted the ground and pound maneuver but it takes forever to successfully pull off so it should make those few and far between.
I had two great instances of ground pounds last night. I blew up a Wraith in Warzone with it, which felt super satisfying. The other time I shoulder charged a guy who was mid ground pound and it sent both of dead bodies flying.

One thing that I want to learn how to do is to hover when I shoot.
Jump and ADS. It works really well with bumper jumper. The one time I got a sniper rifle in FFA last night I was able to get two pretty cool kills with it doing this.
I think some of the people who had worries about these type of things effecting gameplay too much should feel a lot better about it. The Ground pound is hard as shite to pull off and basically makes you a sitting duck. The hovering has its plus's and negative's. The shoulder charge is just fun to pull off, but it isn't something you can really turn to in a firefight. Dash is great.

The shoulder charge was a great addition. That has been really fun. I had a couple times last night playing the campaign where one of my friends was in trouble, and I'd sprint over the send an elite flying as he was about to kill my friend.

I play on 9 on Destiny. I usually play 8 on COD.

what the hell is shoulder charge? Games really need to start coming with damn manuals again

It's a melee while sprinting

quote:It's more forgiving on those games than Halo. Time to kill (TTK) is shorter on both of those than Halo. This creates more opportunity for error against strafing opponents. That's why my Halo sensitivity has dropped with time. It never was a matter of being able to acquire a target and land a good shot with higher sensitivity. It was a matter of keeping the shot on point for multiple headshots I.e. the pistol or BR. It is simply easier to do so with lower sensitivities.
I play on 9 on Destiny. I usually play 8 on COD.
Edit: Fixed a stupid logical error in a sentence. Sorry for confusion.

The Warzone games I have played tonight have felt much closer. I love the added benefit of the bosses that you can kill to try turn things around. I just played a game where the other team took all 3 outposts near the end and were up something like 950 to 850. A boss showed up worth 150 points and our entire team basically abandoned the core and went in took him out for the win.

What are everyone's thoughts on warzone. Is it fun? Is it completely different from arena (classic) mode? Or is it going to end up being a slightlt better version of co-op firefight that really never got big?

I've been really enjoying it. I like breakout and team arena a bit more, but it is a lot of fun. I will likely play BTB over it once that releases, but for now it is scratching that itch just fine.

Finished 10 matches in Team Arena: Platinum 1 right off the bat.
Finished 10 matches in Team Slayer: Diamond 1 right off the bat.
I am well, and truly, fricked.

It's the new ranking system.
The game evaluates your performance after your first 10 games and places you in a category with 6 ranks in it.
So it goes like this:
You have clearly never played Halo before = Bronze Tier (1-6)
You are not very good = Silver Tier (1-6)
You are pretty good = Gold Tier (1-6)
You are good = Platinum Tier (1-6)
You are exceptionally good = Diamond Tier (1-6)
You are godly = Onyx Tier (No specific rankings here, just shown raw CSR score.)
You are one of the top 200 players in the world = Champions Tier (Ranks you 1-200)
The fricked up part is that once you are placed after your first 10 matches, you cannot decrease into a lower tier. This means I will only ever get matched with Diamond Tier people in Slayer playlist or higher. Thus I am well, and truly, fricked.

I was on a sponsored team for H3 and played on 6-8. Depending on the controller. My BR was average for that level of competition, but I had over 16,000 sticks in H3.
I was even at better at H2, and I played it on 7.
I've never met anyone who plays on 3-4 who are any good. The best players on my friends list/team were all at least playing on 5.
Now of course, I know nothing of H5's game mechanics, but HCS pro's haven't played it enough to know exactly what they want.
