Why?
Just had a kid and already have too many games to play. Destiny, MGS, Fallout soon. I honestly also just lost my deep love for Halo. Partly due to the Halo MCC debacle with 343, but also due to it just not being the same game it once was.
Hope you all enjoy though.

Halo 5 campaign was about as bad as it could possible be.
The beginning wasn't good, but the middle got a lot better.
It got my hopes up for a fantastic ending...
And then the last few levels were utter shite. Very disappointed with the campaign.
Matchmaking on the other hand is amazing.

Getting the game later today but from the sound of that this game is going to be Halo 2 2.0
Great multiplayer, average campaign with terrible ending.

Is this your first Halo game? There have been much worse. I've enjoyed it so far.
The main gripe I have about the campaign is finding ammo is about impossible. You want to use the DMR this level? Well tough tits, it will last 1/3 of the way through.

When your store has the wrong price listed on Halo 5 on release day.

Sounds like Halo 1 then. Was recently playing it on MCC and maybe it was just legendary, but the ammo shortage is crazy.

Yea, it really is. Each of the characters has a starting loadout that is different, but there really isn't a difference because they run out of that primary weapon so fast, that you all end up getting whatever is on the ground.

I only played arena last night. Thought it was great. Probably get in some war zone tonight. Work sucks. About to go play on lunch

Just got back from lunch. Had it installed and was playing in about an hour. I was able to play two matches and it plays pretty smooth. I think they will nerf the pistol at some point because I was using it through most of my time playing. screw a sniper, or a DMR that is heavily guarded. I can just 4 shot you with an already equipped weapon. (I didn't 4 shot anyone, but the possibility is there). I attempted the ground and pound maneuver but it takes forever to successfully pull off so it should make those few and far between.
One thing that I want to learn how to do is to hover when I shoot. I was in a gun battle with a guy and I went backwards down a slop and he jumped and sort of hovered and had enough time mid-air to get two more shots on me to finish me off. That's a pretty good addition.
The only power weapon I got my hands on was the Rocket launcher and it is good for what it does. wanted to try the sniper out, but I will most likely get one later on tonight. One thing I highly recommend everyone doing is to bump the sensitivity up to anywhere between 8-10. Yes, your k/d will suffer for a while but once you get the hang of it and you start going positive you can then drop it down to 5-7 and your aim will be more refined, plus you will still have your sensitivity higher than most who keep it on default, giving you the advantage when aiming.
If anyone wants to add me- GT: usafhart
i'll be on at around 7-7:30 Eastern tonight.

Things I would never think about
7-8 will be brutal.

Yea, I completely forgot about it in MCC (when it would work) so I never took the time to go through with the sensitivity boost. However, with H5 I will make sure I play my fair share of games with higher sensitivity. The hardest part about the higher sensitivity is when you are zoomed in. So sniping is going to be a BITCH, but I will get used to it. I feel sorry for anyone who plays with me tonight or possibly tomorrow night

Yea, I think I'll bump it up and finish the campaign tonight. Will probably help me get a little more used to it and not go into PVP cold turkey.
I"m hoping playing Destiny recently will help too, as it is a little faster paced than normal Halo, especially using the scout rifle.

keep it bumped up when you play your first, I'd say at least 10 MP games. I'm sure you already know this, but humans move much differently than AI
What time will you be on tonight? Maybe we can get a group together and suck it up all at once!

I'll hop on probably around 6-6:30 central. I've got a couple buds that we're going to finish the campaign up before hopping into PVP.

how do adding friends work on Xbox One? I really haven't tinkered with anything like that on the one, but last time I checked you don't become "friends" you simply follow one another or something like that.

Just as a point of reference: every Halo Championship Series professional is on a 3-4 sensitivity (and they train on 3-4 sensitivity).
8-10 is crazy, and almost completely useless.

is this worth a shite or what
Posted on 10/27/15 at 12:58 pm to USAF Hart
If both follow each other, you are technically friends. It will give me a notification that someone follows me, and if I follow them, I'll be able to join them or see if they are on. If you favorite somebody, it works like it did on the 360. You get notifications when they are online or playing your game or whatever.
