I didn’t mind 4 but yea every vehicle felt like you were driving a bathtub on wheels with how they took turns.
San Andreas was peak gaming once you made it out of Los Santos and into the forests headed to San Fierro with that soundtrack.
Vice City was great as well but going back you realize how small the map was.

Yeah man. They haven't beaten that soundtrack yet. Wish I could've have bought the box set when they sold it but was much much poorer at that time.
Box Set for $285 on eBay
Not a bad deal

Huh? You are the one talking about how other people are melting yet you’ve been arguing with people this entire thread…
All I'm doing is responding to you. I am under no obligation to stop responding to you.

So you do care?
I care that they're asking me to buy a game before they've shown me any gameplay. I won't do that. I was very clear about that in the very first reply in this thread. Maybe they'll show some gameplay before that goes live, and then that issue would be resolved.
quote:
Or you don’t care?
I don't care how you spend your money. How is it so hard for you to understand that is separate from the other statement? You're making yourself look like an idiot here. What you do with your money does not matter to me.
quote:
Again I’m still not sure how this thread is relevant to you if you don’t want to pre-order and also don’t care if other people pre-order.
It's relevant because you keep responding to me with the same stupidity. For some reason you have a real issue with the extraordinarily common opinion that I've stated in this thread. As long as you keep pretending my opinion isn't reasonable, I'll keep pointing out that you're wrong.

That actually isn't a bad deal at all. Thanks!

4 is easily the worst GTA game.
Worst story, worst characters, worst mechanics, worst driving controls.
I wouldn't go that far. Is it worse than GTA 1 and 2 and the PS2 trilogy? You can have a lot of nostalgia for the PS2 era GTA games, but objectively, I don't think you can argue that 4 isn't an improvement on those games.
Given when it was released, it does occupy this weird space before developers started copying Gears of War for third person cover shooter mechanics, thus the on foot sections feel like they have one foot in next gen and one foot stuck in the PS2 era.
I actually like the driving and the attention to detail more than 5 though.
5 overall is still my favorite GTA.

And I'm just responding to you. But for some reason you consider it "melting"

They aren't asking you to do anything. They are giving you the option to. You obviously don't want to and I'm sure Rockstar will be just fine with that.

I'm not sure what issue you are referring to.

But you are in a thread about pre-wording a game, telling people that it's stupid to pre-order a game.

It's funny that you are saying it's relevant only because I keep responding to you when you have replied to 11 different people throughout this thread. That's a lot of responding to a topic that you supposedly don't really care about. I'm fine with you not wanting to pre-order a game until you see gameplay. I'm still not sure why you are in this thread though. Just don't pre-order and move on.

I think they'd be crazy not to charge as much as possible for it. Is there anybody out there who would buy a copy at $80 but wouldn't buy it at $100? or $120 for that matter. The cap is pretty much the most they think they can get away with without it being a PR issue.
I never got into GTA multiplayer but if you are getting it primarily for that it's likely a game you'll be playing for hundreds of hours for many years to come.
Besides, in a weird way I would argue giving it a super high price tag actually helps build the hype. You want to communicate your brand is special and a cut above "regular" video games. It sitting there costing 20-30 more than everything else actually helps build the prestige and allure factor.

My goodness you're an idiot. Keep melting guy. I'm not going to keep pointing out reality to you.

I can't imagine what a collector's edition could have to be worth $120, but there are almost certainly some people who will pay that.
Would need to include some awesome physical item for me to justify that.

The CEO has said in interviews the price will be 70 or 80$
I would bet it is 70 for the standard edition but deluxe edition 90+ and an edition with 3-5 days early access for 130+

I wasn't a fan of that mechanic in San Andreas. Not super pumped about this.
ETA: Specifically, I didn't like having to find somewhere for my character to eat every so often. Just not what I was looking for in a GTA game. I didn't mind the customization of your character aspect of it. If there's no "hunger" mechanic, then I'm fine with this.

Just to show how old GTA 5 is, model comparison between the two games. Kind of blew my mind when I saw this
