No GTA has ever released in Q1. Companies tend to stay in the same release range.

April would be the earliest which is when GTA4 released.

Other than 4, every other GTA has been in the fall.

Makes a lot of sense to release with the next Gen consoles in Sept as well.

God forbid they choose 1 female playable character in the Nth instalent of the current generation.

Don't tell them that GTA 1 had 3 playable female characters.

I think it's definitely going to be a launch title with the next gen consoles, but I don't believe those will be coming in 2025. It's going to get delayed multiple times and then release with those in 2028.

Based on what I can infer, it seems like it will definitely be more than just vice city (Miami). The map is called Leonida, which sounds to me like it’s meant to be the state of Florida in the GTA setting. How much variety? Difficult to say. But it seems like a larger map than gta v and that map wasn’t exactly small.

And the social media comments in the trailer were saying things like "only in leonida"

Would expect at least another major city with a handul of smaller ones

No gap between GTA releases has hit 11 years

With GTA V releasing in 3 different console generations (not using BC), they broke some rules.

Maybe they do Fall, but they may want it in their FY'25 books

quote:

Over the past year, Take-Two has started to provide guidance for its investors when it comes to its 2025 fiscal year, which is set to begin on April 1, 2024, and end on March 31, 2025. Staggeringly, Take-Two has said that it expects to bring in over $8 billion in revenue in this fiscal year, which is far higher than many of its previous earning periods. With this in mind, the belief is that GTA VI would be the catalyst that would bring in this windfall of cash for the company given how much the game will surely make once it releases.

How long this has taken, let us all assume November 2025

What do yall think, will Tommy Vercetti be a playable character, have a prominent roll as a drug kingpin and potential big-bad, or cameo appearance?

The 3D era (gta iii, vice city, and San Andreas) have only been loosely referenced in the hd era (iv, v, presumably vi).

It would be weird for them to reference Tommy if they more or less ignored cj in gta v. Only reference to grove street families in v was the fact that grove street still existed and was overrun with ballas. I’m guessing they’ll have some deep cuts for old fans but no overt references.

Tommy was born in 1951 so he'll be in his mid 70s.

nah. 3-SA were like their own universe, and 4-6 are pretty separated from that

It's going to be most of the state. Orlando, Tampa, Miami and Key West
